Ethics of Guerilla growing on someone else's land

Ethics are a personal thing, as you can see by the variety of responses here. Obviously you have no problem breaking the law. I agree that it would be more considerate to find government land to plant on. It could also be more risky. Don't feel bad about moving dead trees around, that's a...

    your tolerance and lowering it

You know the phrase, "Everything in moderation." I don't buy any, and I only grow a little closet's worth at a time. So I end up going months at a time without. You can probably imagine the lack of weed to smoke makes me more involved in the growth of my precious's. I enjoy this. Frequent...

1st time outdoor grower with questions!

They plant year round in Hawaii, in similar conditions. But... You still have to wait until in flowers, and that's probably in September, and I've read that planting too early can actually decrease THC (can't remember where but it seemed authoritative), and it's best to plant in April or May...

One 26 W CFL per Plant hopeless?

Just wanted to give an update: Turned out Christmas was when I started the 12/12 cycle...But it was all up to me, not the plants, as I've learned. The timing was a matter of the space available. I've got plenty of space, so I waited until my plants were about 20" tall to start flowering. My...

Liars! It works. I tried it last night. Here's what I did: Took one 20" male plant with a medium amount of leaves. Cut off the leaves. Dry leaves in oven at 150 F. Grind leaves in coffee grinder. Follow pot brownie recipe, but use half recipe, but still enough oil to cover material in...

Safety of 176 W through Cheapo Timer

I haven't run the AC on the timer, I just mentioned the AC because that is the socket's main function, and suggests it is wired to handle a proper load. The extension cords are long, but are heavy duty 3 prong. Thanks for the feedback though. I leaving right now...May Jah bless my setup.

Safety of 176 W through Cheapo Timer

I'm a couple weeks into my first grow. I'm going to be leaving my place for a few days and I just want to try and get some feedback on the safety of my setup. I run 6 CFLs and a 2 florescent tubes for a total of 176 Watts. The CFLs and the tubes run through 2 extension cords into a power...

Duct Tape on CFL Balast Safe?

I am doing my first grow and everything is pretty shoddy. I'm using a large empty painting frame to support the CFLs. They are duct taped in a horizontal position. To do this, I had to run some tape around the ballast part of some of the bulbs. I didn't think much of it until I read that...

One 26 W CFL per Plant hopeless?

For flowering I have two 150 W CFLs, and two 20 W (2') 2500K florescent tubes. (I already have all these lights due to two separate occasions of mistakenly buying the wrong spectrum.) Thanks for the advice everyone. I think it's pretty clear I will miss my Christmas goal. Luckily I have a...

One 26 W CFL per Plant hopeless?

Thanks everyone who replied. The setup is improved. I did notice the temperature jumped up 10 degrees with the new reflective paper and florescent tube. It's like 85 degrees now...I guess that is still acceptable.

One 26 W CFL per Plant hopeless?

Just shows why I'm growing - I don't even remember how much an ounce of weed is. I think its been years since I've seen more than an 1/8th. Don't got no Lowes...Went to Home Depot. They had a 300 W CFL, but only in 2500K. My biggest problem is figuring out a way to hold all these lights. I...

One 26 W CFL per Plant hopeless?

One plant? Do you know the sex? Did you start out with more? Also, how do you support all those lights? Say, if you have 6 CFLs on one plant, what are you using to hold them in place? Update: I added two more CFLs and a 2' double florescent tube, 20 W, 6500 K. I also replaced my survival...

One 26 W CFL per Plant hopeless?

Hi, this is a very helpful site. I am having a little trouble finding information I can use to analyze my exact situation, however. Let me first say this is a half-assed operation, because I decided to make my first attempt by spending almost no money. I already had the soil (fertigro potting...
