    Ebb & Flow (Pics Wanted!)

Hello fellow growers. It seems like there is just such a lack of Ebb & Flow (Ebb & Grow / Flood & Drain) users on here, or maybe it's just a lack of threads about it. Tell us your experience with the system and provide some pictures for examples of how well your strains grew in them. Veg and...

    A/C Question Regarding Negative Pressure

How big is your room? Are you using a tent inside of that room? I've heard of some people putting the minisplit in the attic or inside a wall but you have to have a condensate drain. Or maybe just use a window shaker unit. If you're using a tent you would have to build some type of frame to hold...

    A/C Question Regarding Negative Pressure

I just went through the exact same shit. I have the Whynter ARC-14SH 14,000 BTU. Don't listen to anyone else on here saying the problem is something else, it is the unit. Everyone claims that dual-hose units create no negative pressure, but the design of these Whynter units have MANY air leaks...

    Could I Be Smoking Poison?

Thank you everyone for your replies. I know I am sounding paranoid lol, but I have skimmed through articles that are claiming marijuana is just as dangerous as cigarettes, due to high amounts of nitrogen oxide and other various things. So I was under the impression my buds could be twice as...

    Could I Be Smoking Poison?

Check out kindsoil.com and tell me what you think of the ingredients. The only one that concerns me is the debatable Azomite.

    Could I Be Smoking Poison?

That's some good information there thanks. I will research into that. I've heard that organic soil grows do not need a flush because of how the nutrients are made naturally available to plants due to microbes breaking down organic matter. In synthetic nutrients, they are cholated and absorbed...

    Could I Be Smoking Poison?

It smells better than any bud I've ever bought at dispensaries, but it could still contain built up nutrients. When you flush the plant uses up the last of its stored nutrients. I'm afraid these plants had too much and I harvested them like that.

    Could I Be Smoking Poison?

I didn't. What I'm saying is if they were suffering nitrogen toxicity during harvest, and I did not flush, I'm assuming all of that extra nitrogen and other various metals from the soil will be potent in the bud. And that could be poisonous to consume

    Could I Be Smoking Poison?

Hi everyone. Wasn't sure where to post this.. but thanks for checking out. So to get to the point, I think I could be smoking nitrogen toxic bud. I harvested some Red Poison autoflowers by Sweet Seeds that had "the claw" real bad. And most of the sugar leaves turned pure black. I know this is a...

I need help with a rootbound plant

Cutting your pot sounds like the best idea. One thing to note is if your plant is truly root bound, it will not continue to get bigger even if you replant it. A way to fix this is you need to cut some of the root system. This will trigger the plant to try and fix and reestablish the roots that...

    Portable AC, Bad Negative Pressure

Thank you all for your reply. I already sealed the unit up so let's hope the bent pipe is okay lol. My AC also pulls 12 amps and it's having a hard time keeping my room under 90 on a hot day.. BUT the negative pressure issue is completely solved :) I used like 5 tubes haha, but I also wasted a...

    Negative Pressure Causing Damage

I am still using the 4 inch hoses that came with the unit. I don't want to cut bigger holes in the wall, but with a strong enough fan I think 4 inch is fine. 240CFM is not nearly enough of an extra boost, so I'll add different fans when I can. I put duct reduces on this 6 inch fan so it will fit...

    Negative Pressure Causing Damage

Yes I agree that it getting so hot is not good! But according to the other tutorial on how to do this, he upgraded to 6 inch ducting out the back of the unit, and added extra fans for intake and exhaust, and that is enough to keep it cool. The cold water that drips onto the coils probably...

    Negative Pressure Causing Damage

Hey all. Yes sealing the inside of the unit completely solved the negative pressure issue :) The only problem I'm getting is since I rerouted the the water drain, which used to drip over the hot coils, now the unit runs much hotter. 240 CFM of extra air flow to the intake isn't enough, so I'm...

    Portable AC, Bad Negative Pressure

And the copper wasn't cracked but it's very thin and I was surprised how easily it bent. I am a little nervous that it could rupture one day now that it has a weak point in the bend. I could snap it off with ease if I just bent the opposite way, so hopefully the pressure will hold... especially...

    Portable AC, Bad Negative Pressure

Okay thanks. The job is finished but I am going to let it dry out for a few days.. the sealant I used is some harsh/deadly stuff lol. DAP seal N peel. It's clear and the chemical fumes are so strong. I will be posting pictures of the steps I took in doing this, and I'll give credit with a link...

    Negative Pressure Causing Damage

I finished the modification of the AC unit last night. I'm gonna let it sit and dry for a couple days because I used this stuff by DAP called Seal N Peel. It's a clear temporary weather sealant. That way the seal isn't permanent in case I ever have to take it back apart. It says it's only a 30...

    Negative Pressure Causing Damage

So I've been in the process of sealing this unit inside. Today I picked up the AC unit and didn't realize my arm bent this copper pipe. It's very small and feeds off of the larger pipe. Like just 4 inches sticking put in the air. Now that I've bent it, I'm sure it will block the flow of anything...

    Negative Pressure Causing Damage

Can anyone tell me if this is bad? It looks like the coils are leaking coolant or something. It's a white hard substance that I can scrap off with my fingernail, but it is quite difficult to get off. Almost feels like paint, but obviously it's something else.
