What are the benfits to 24/7 compared to 18/24? From what I've read please correct me if I'm wrong plants will grow more on a 18/24 cycle. Something about the grow more when the light are off.

I just started my 1st grow(bag seeds) and my seeds just started to sprot. I was wondering the light cycle I should use for the tiny girls well hope all girls. Also if some could plz tell me the light cycle I should use for my mother plants.
