This ocean forest soil has been Jamaican me crazy...I used to use a soilless mix from bontanicare and never had the problems I do with ocean forest. So just to recap: -I'll redo the ph test -top dress with more lime -should I flush? With nutes?

I'll try this test again...I think I may have put in too much water compared to how much soil was in the tupperware

Thanks Jack! I actually did this last night (got the idea from your post) So I put the distilled water (6.0) into about 2 tablespoons of soil, shook it up in some tupperware and waited a couple hours...I then tested the water (with those ph drops from general hydroponics...I don't have a...

yeah, I'm pretty sure its a 3 month strain...this problemss shouldn't happen for another month (nitrogen at least)

thanks Dr. Yeah, I top dressed them about a month ago with lime but it didn't seem to help much..I actually think the runoff now is closer to 6.0 but its still low. So flush WITH nutes as opposed to just water?

they've only been in a 3 gallon grow bag for a around a month in a half...before that, they were in .5 gallon bags.

I'm measuring runoff with the good old GH ph drops. Plants are about 2-3 feet (if they weren't tied down) in 2.5-3 gallon pots.
