I just built a fixture 2 weeks ago from a pack of the hlg qb132v's 3500k and a hlg-320h-2100a for my 3x3x8. Easy as to build and bright as fark. I have them currently dimmed down to 106watt at 45" above 2 week old seedlings and getting 160 ppfd.

Nice choice. I have the regular 6" hyper fan and Phresh Carbon Filter in a Gorilla 3x3x8. Currently, I have it on the lowest setting and it is quite as. I don't have the filter hooked up yet as I don't need it as of yet.

Just buy a $5 extension cord from Bunnings and ctt off the female plug. I would say Jaycar or a electric al supplies shop will have the connections. I am having my driver externaly mounted so I will just solder together and haveheat shrink over the top.

I am from oz as well and last week ordered a pack of qb132’s from HLG and a driver I am in Oz as well. I ordered some 132's last Wednesday from HLG and got the tracking details today(I believe they ship international orders once a week) . I ordered my hlg-320h-c2100a driver from mouser same day...

You should buy a cheap $6 60X Magnifying Loupe Jewelry and check the trichomes. Painting your grow space with flat white paint will reflect the light better too.

For the flexibility to use from propergation to flower. I could run just 1 for propergation 2-3 for veg & 4 for flower. I would be using a light meter to get the correct ppfd for each stage. On just say 1 driver with 4 qb96’s in parallel on a 320h-54a I wouldn’t be able to dim it enough with 4...

Yes the flexibility of more drivers is what I want as well. I want 4xqb96’s all on their own drivers in a 3x3 but can’t decide what drivers to get. (Sorry pan sorry the thread hijak)

So are you saying in theory that you will get higher PPFD running 4X boards on 1x 240 driver than running 2 boards each on 2x 240 drivers dimmed to 120 watt each driver?

Doesn’t running your boards at lower increases the efficiency, or am I reading this wrong? I thought higher the joule’s at board would be better? I am a noob at this.
