Where are you getting your nute mixture from ? Surely a large 200l drum or whatever you use would be prone to bateria/warmth/pythium etc

I would never run the UV with nutes, this is only to 'clean' the water before i add them start a grow as i am aware of above. The reason i asked is that i currently have an Ozone generator and hoped that would suffice. I also have a chiller and plenty of DO oxygen/flooming via the res bucket...

I thought it messes with the certain nutes ie iron and you have to use another additive. I only use a UV filter when i do my first batch in RDWC (200l) and leave it run to clean the water BEFORE i add my nutes.

Messed with H202 for few grows after many awesome grows then BANG Pythium. What works for me is Fongarid on mothers 1 week before taking clones. I then use Rhizotonic and get some crazy roots. I also use it through grow. All water is UV'd and i used to add Flairform Pythoff (basically chlorine)...

I have cleared this with bleach and h202 BUT you can not use both together. I prefer H202 as the plants seem to outperform ones using bleach. I use 35% food grade at 0.28ml/l and its cheap as chips. Added daily. You should be able to clear that easily as root ball is so small.

You can not use H202 and Chlorine/Bleach together. Iwould only use UV filter to 'run through' on replacing water in system. Or use in continuous circulating for top up water. It's not good idea to use with nutes as it affects Iron content. I sorted my root rot/Pythium by following - Fongarid...

No i want to ditch my Aerocloner and just get a prop/jiffy pellets. I find it hassle cleaning/refilling etc.

Hi I want to try this instead of my aerocloner as i only do a couple plants and it will save time/effort. Is there a 'foolproof' guide here ? I want to transfer the Jiffy Pellets into 3" rockwool cubes then into my bubblers with net pots/clay pebbles. Cheers

Me too...lol I worked it out at 0.53ml per litre !!!!

Tried Hygrozyme, waste time. I have had new roots come through with daily dose of H202 but then they eventually turn brown/mushy. Is Pythium Systemic ? Is there not a fungacide i could use as they are in early veg ?? My system has it all now with perfect conditions for Pythium not to form...
