How would YOU set this (kinda) RDWC up?

I'm going 2inch for the bottom returns or tote to tote.. And maybe 3/4inch for the chiller return to each tote? Does this sound like it will work or work well?. it's a little different to the shitty bought system thats a struggle at times due to size restrictions and I don't want to be...

How would YOU set this (kinda) RDWC up?

Alright mate, Just been looking over you system again and the other post you link me to and i have yet another question lol.. Do you draw the water back to the control via a pump or do you just pump the chilled nutreints back to each tote and this sends the water back towards the control.. so...

Spray feed cal-mag when using AN PHperfect

I ran AN for 2 year and in the end gave up due to this very reason.. would always get deficiencies late flower.. when i added calmag it would destroy the ph perfect and cause more problems.. i gave up on AN and went back to canna which is much more stable.. Happy Growing

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Nice really like the setup pal! I will never buy another pre made system again, But tbh the bought system has taught me an awful lot about rdwc so i won't put it down too much. I would like to use 2" pipe between all totes if possible so not to see a water level drop with the recirculating...

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Sorry can I just ask are you using air stones as well as waterfalling with jets? I'm thinking the bubbles are not needed. This is coming from years of fish keeping and understanding what oxygenated the water best and I don't think bubble are effective enough?

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

I think my chiller is rated at 2500ltr per hour so i will probably buy one that's about 5000ltr an hour and adjust it down from their. Thanks for the info much appreciated.

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Some lovely roots there mate.... that is one of my current issues roots.. they grow so fast and fill my buckets even growing down the pipes and blocking them... poor design if you ask me. This is what I'm going down the dig route as an engineer and cad designer I feel I can do so much better...

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Love it how full do you get regarding roots and what size or how long do you veg for? Again I just want the right size first time. They do bigger totes upto 160ltr but that taking the @#$@ a bit if you ask me. Was thinking 5000ltr/h pump myself but maybe that too strong? Booom

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Hey pal how do.. Yeah only 1 plant per tote, I currently use bubble buckets all the way through rdwc but as you are probably aware these are only prob 20ltrs and totally inadequate for growing anything of a decent size.. I max of my root space Every time which leads me to thinking I could be...

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

I get all you variables the system will be modular so to start with 4 x totes/containers 45ltr on plant in each.. These will not be full so probably more like 30ltr by volume of nutrients under the net pot or do you think the 24ltr pots would be good enough? im not sure and am looking more...

Diy rdwc. Is the depth of the tote/bucket important?

Hi all been a while, I'm just in the process of designing a new rdwc System and wanted to know what people on here use for totes/buckets.. I understand i need enough room for the net pot but after that what is the optimum space required bellow this and does the shape of the space matter at all...

    To Flip or not?

Flip when you like if you are in a tent i would recommend a height 12 to 18 inch any more and you run the risk of them getting too tall.. stretch can be a bitch.. they look like they are getting there if not there already.

Info on doing a GH Waterfarm 8 site with a separately bought water pump

Hey i run rdwc and the pump for the 6 to 8 pot iws rdwc pro setup uses 1000ltr/h pump.. if you want to make it recirculating the i would use the biggest pipes you can for the circulation of nutrients as small pipes like mine block with roots.. have a look at this link above.. I would look at...

    itquick, simple DWC questions?

I run RDWC and use canna aqua vega and canna aqua flores both are A and B mixes.. above says unless you RO water calmag isn't needed well that's not really correct.. I use calmag with tap water because my tap water is very clean only 37ppm and i suffer with deficiencies (calcium mainly) mid to...

    led or hps

for the price i would just buy the hps setup as led is very expensive for a good setup and doesn't get near hps imo for yield without spending big.. if heat isnt an issue you cant go wrong with hps de systems. par output is just about as good as it gets.. 1000w 400v de hps.... I currently run 2...
