Seed makers who outsource their seed production...

I'm looking to avoid brands that don't test their crosses.

Seed makers who outsource their seed production...

I love me a good ol' F1 chuck as long as it's been tested and there are pictures. Yeah, many of the names are goofy but at the end of the day, the names mean nothing in comparison to looks, taste, smell, and effects. You don't smoke the name.

Seed makers who outsource their seed production...

I think that's a bit different. Those are transparent(ish) partnerships versus Breeder A doing "fire" drops of untested shit that was chucked by some other person behind the scenes.

Seed makers who outsource their seed production...

In the context I heard about this (Exotic Genetix / Sol Fire podcast) I'm pretty sure this is happening stateside and probably by brands that have big threads on this very board.

Seed makers who outsource their seed production...

Been hearing a lot about this lately. Seed guys who are just the brand's face, buy seeds from someone behind the scene, market them and sell them untested. Who's out here doing this??? No pic = no sale for me.

At least the seed pack comes with a fire coaster to set your drinks on.

Where's that? I just clicked a bunch of his vendor links via discord and the cheapest I saw was $98.

They already are. "Agricultural seeds. The term “agricultural seeds” means the following kinds of grass, forage, and field crop seeds, that are used for seeding purposes in the United States:" "Hemp - Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa" Cannabis seeds are considered hemp (<.3% THC) so you can...

    Economy&Seeds$/Prices/Offers-Supply/Demand

I see more seed makers showing viroid tests than any claims of THC% or terp% these days. This isn't something that needs regulation. The market is pressuring the producers to regulate themselves. The subjective smell example works for hard numbers too. Why should the seed producers have to take...

Game this out for me... I buy Grape Bubble Banana from breeder X who says it smells just like Grape Hubba Bubba. Me, the closet grower, grows mite-infested underferted garbage and I then go in front of a judge and say "See, smells like hay right?"

    Economy&Seeds$/Prices/Offers-Supply/Demand

No, the gov't isn't going to regulate your pack that herm'd and give you a mechanism for a refund. Caveat emptor.

It's why MeneGene, who is pretty universally lauded as a guy with solid/worked stock and a vast knowledge of the plant puts out packs with an outdoor-only label i.e. growing those strains indoor is too risky from what he's seen in testing, but outdoors they'll do fine. Anecdotally, I've had bad...

Yeah, I popped a pack of Greasy Runtz and my keeper pheno is an all-time strain. People love it. I love it. Not sure why Runtz is considered played out, really. I mean, I think that it's better in crosses for sure, but it really seems like the cannabis market is so fickle that people think...

    Bloom Seed Co

That's 100% valid. I was interested in the Black Maple and then I saw the price and bailed. From the breeder's perspective, I don't begrudge anyone taking their shot when the time comes and it definitely helps that most of their range is in the $100-150 range. At the end of the day the market...

    Bloom Seed Co

Looking at his site there are two $300 packs from that collab. Then there's a couple for 2 bills and one for $150. The other packs are $100 - 150. Seems like they have a pretty reasonable range if the high-end is too spendy.

    In House Genetics Thread

I mentioned it up-thread, but I got the Garlic Sherb as a freebie a while back. One pheno was a low yielder that tossed balls on the lowers (no pollen, iirc), it's dark blue nearly black and the frost was absurd. The second pheno was a much, much bigger yielder, no balls, dark green not...

    Freeborn Selections

If you're running Mean Mug definitely check your lowers for ball sacks. I saw a Mean Gene post referencing people finding sacks and sure enough, had to do a bit of picking myself last night. No pollen or anything, just some pre-flower looking balls.

MedicGrow Fold 8 760w Samsung Diodes 8 bar fixture? $589 US shipped free, BETTER DEAL THAN MEIJIU BAR LIGHTS!?

Honestly, it varies depending on the strain. So, it's about 20-28" from the tops. Call it about 30" to where the canopy has thickened to a carpet-like mass.
