Has anyone grown and harvested without checking ph levels?

I use rain water or melted snow. Haven't checked PH in a while and only do if a plant looks sick.

As long as there is an adequate heatsink in your light now, it should be sufficient for the veros. The Galaxy Hydro 300 I have has a small heatsink that will need upgrading.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I keep my fans at 100% all the time, it's quiet enough and I'm not worried about .37amps at 12 volts.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Wiring the dimmers to the same potentiometer should be straight forward and simple. You'd need a dimmable driver for your fans though. You can get little in line resistors with some pc fans that reduce fan speed too. They're known for noise reduction but it just slows the fan down.

    Where to buy Vero

Digikey has the 18s in stock and ready to ship for 10.75, but I can't believe they are the cheapest. I'll be looking for about 25 of them if that makes a difference.

    6 Vero 29 in 3x4?

That will be a little under lit in my book. If you're all about making everything "just right", I'd run them at 1400 and add some small LEDs on the sides and corners for a more even distribution of light. A vero 29 at 1400 is good for about 1 square foot. You have 12.

    apollo 300w cree conversion cxb3590

You can easily run 2 36 volt 3590s. I'd run 3 vero 18s per driver. Those 12 vero 18s total would have a light output of approximately the same as 4 72 volt 3590s would but for half the price. The advantage of more LEDs is that some could be mounted outside the Apollo box and used as side...

    ...All Things Vero...

I just did a similar space, 20x28. I ran 2 3590s and a Vero 29 at 1400ma. Works great, but I'm still going to put in 4 more Vero 18s at 300ma for sidelighting and to help eliminate shadows. All together around during 52% efficient. 171-172 lumens per watt.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I found some 300 ma 50-120 dcv drivers for 9 bucks. I was thinking about 4 vero 18s each for sidelighting...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Does anyone have a link to cheap drivers? Is there any disadvantages to using a cheap China driver? I realize maybe a couple of efficiency points resulting in a but more heat perhaps but if their rated output is accurate then the COBs shouldn't know the difference if they're on a cheapo or a...

    Where to buy CXB3590CD

Maybe I should have done my shopping sober, the aussie price is what I was looking at from cutter and Digikey seemed cheaper. Now, where can cheap drivers be sourced? Meanwell makes a nice driver, but you're paying for it. Is there a noticeable difference in light between a low buck China driver...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

They're in the 4000k or 5000k spectrums only. I cant tell what they are but if they're the CXB3590CD cobs then that'd be the a damn good deal. Doesn't say what the driver is either.

who has grown with other light sources in addition to cobs?

Switched to LED and keep CFL around for side lighting and to help keep the cabinet temps up.

    Old Mars hydro 300 watt

You mean there is pressure in your lamp shade? Lol. The phresh filter I have is very low resistance but it's only flowing through 2 feet of 4 inch ducting. Easily, easily keeping my cabinet cool even on low speed.

Can we see some pics of your 350 watt CFL array? With 350 true watts, I could surround a plant with bulbs and have zero larf.
