    How do you clean?

Start beneficial bacteria colonies and clean your hoses once a year. I know people who never clean their reservoirs and they're still popping out badass plants. Maybe it's just dumb luck.

    2.5x1.5 cabinet (first grow)

For the passive intakes, I paint the inside of a ducting elbow flat black then put panty hose over the end of it. What little light that gets through the panties is easily lost on the black and the panties are an easy to change intake filter.

    Micro auto setup info questions

Put 2 parts earth worm castings and 1 part perlite in a kitty litter tray. Depends upon the wattage of the bulbs, within a few inches, say 8 for veg and 5 for flower. Paint the inside white so it's reflective. With that setup, you'd be lucky to pull half a gram per watt of light used. Check...

New stealth cabinet grow questions-- plant problems (pics)

I assume your PH is in the 5.5-6 range? I had the same problems and went back to soil.

    2.5x1.5 cabinet (first grow)

Don't sweat too much dude, I've added the water absorbing polymers to my soils before if I know it's going to be a grow I can't regularly check on. Looks like they're in cups now, so when you repot just use something better. I like to amend the Ocean Forest with more earth worm castings, just a...

    Old Mars hydro 300 watt

That's pretty fuckin clever with the aerated garbage can and lamp shade. Looks like it's not scrubbed though, the static pressure in that 1 1/2 inch pipe has to be a lot higher than if it was a 4 inch like that fan was probably designed for. Unless you have a lot of heat that you want to totally...

    Old Mars hydro 300 watt

A lot of the sound from a fan comes from the vibration that migrates down the mounts. Hanging your fan from rubber straps or otherwise isolating the vibration helps the noise reduction a lot. You can also look into insulated ducting. That also seems to reduce the noise.

    Marshydro 300 beginner questions

They'll work OK, not great. Better than a kick in the pants. Supplement with CFL for better quality. Keep temps between 70 and 85 or so. I keep mine about a foot above the canopy during flower.

    Old Mars hydro 300 watt

Check out the thread on Modifying the GalaxyHydro 300, I'll be modding mine in about a month with 9 vero 18s and some ebay heatsinks.

    Mainlining issue

If you can't prune it evenly, then I'd just pretend it never happened and plod on with the other pruning. It might not be a balanced plant this run but chalk it up to a learning experience and enjoy the rest of it.

Isolated Foliar Feeding to Stimulate Growth in Specific Part of Plant

Look into reflowering. When you harvest, take only the top 3/4 off of the plant and leave some of the bottom crap. Put it onto 24 hours of light and back off 15 minutes a day until you're at your favorite veg period and you'll be back into an acceptable cloning phase.

You have any odor control going on in there?

    modifying the GalaxyHydro 300

Now if the Vero 18s are more efficient than the blurple LED panel it came with, why would it need additional cooling? Same power from the wall, those electrons have to be going somewhere, if not light or heat, where are they going?

    Old Mars hydro 300 watt

:weed: :peace: Expensive indeed. I've used CFL for a while too and was happy with the results. I went to the GalaxyHydro and felt like it was a step in the right direction but more like a lateral move than a big step up. I can't really get the solid bud density out of CFL or blurple LED. The up...

    dimmable driver

Just asking, i wasnt planning to do it before knowing for sure. I actually already ordered the 120 instead of the 185 because I only have an 18 x 24 area which is 3 square feet. I was lead to believe that running the driver at near capacity was best and the 120 will be very close to max with the...

    dimmable driver

So, if I have an hlg120c1400a and I have 2 CXB3590s and a Vero 29 on it, nearly maxing the voltage, can I dim it to 50% and double the LEDs? Or do the voltage requirements not follow a linear scale with the dimming?

2 Cadillacs and a big block chevy...

Remote mounting the drivers is easy enough. Just put them in the bottom where the old compressor was. In my basement which is plenty big enough for the heat to dissipate. Not like it's going to be a fridge in a small closet off of a small closed room with no ventilation.

2 Cadillacs and a big block chevy...

So I finally pulled the trigger and bought some stuff for my own DIY build. I bought two CXB3590s and one vero 29. A meanwell hlg120c1400a and a 4.85x22 heatsink from heatsinkusa that will have 2 92mm cpu fans on it. Going into an 18 x 24 fridge. Even after doing all the calculations, a few...

    My 150W Vero29 tent.

If I see any fungus gnats, I top the soil off with 2 inches of pea rock then pour sand on top of that to fill the small voids between the pea rocks. Bottom water for 2 weeks and done. The soil bacteria can still grow but the gnat eggs are killed. A horticultural grade oil like neem oil is...
