I like to veg around a month, maybe 5 weeks on my grows. When they're a about a third but less than half the height I want them to finish. If you've been topping then the veg time is longer than if you're just letting it go untrained.

Why not just throw in blocks of dry ice? It would help cool the room while evaporating into CO2. That sounds like far less work than changing your carbon daily.
