Yeah if the coco has been buffered (they soak it calcium and magnesium) then the ec may be high. I bought some charcoir coco and the runoff ec was 1.2. That can kill seedlings. I usually flush new coco down to .3ec. I wonder if flushing out the ca and mag is a bad thing. Maybe the ec readings...

Order from blue lab it’s a bit more expensive but you’re getting it straight from the source. Amazon has fakes out there. Mines been going for over 5 years. Store it in the solution or in water. Clean it up every month too. Calibrate every month. I’m going to try Hannah next tho.
