    Outgrowing my grow tent

I like the net idea. I could possibly use some small mesh plant netting.

    Outgrowing my grow tent

Thanks for the comments. The first photo shows that I can recover about 4" of head space if i use zip ties and cinch the light up to the top. The third photo shows that I am using LST already. I use elastic plant ties with large paper clips as anchor points that can get stuffed into the 5...

    Outgrowing my grow tent

I'm afraid I may reach the height limit of my 4x2x2 grow tent. This is Durban Nights XX and I started LST early. I believe I have another 30 days left for it to continue to flower. Any ideas? Note: I have only used the grow tent before to start my plants before I move them outdoors. I thought I...

Furst time grower - Harvest ?

Thanks everyone. I have concluded it was Budrot, so I eliminated all the buds in question. I also thinned out the plant and started harvesting from the bottom up. (Popcorn anyone?) This plant is still going to yield me quite a bit. I took MGG's advice and made plastic covers for my trellises...

Furst time grower - Harvest ?

I am hearing that Trifecta works against Botrytis Cinerea and that you can spray it up to the day of harvest. I only have two weeks left so I don't know if that would help...have no effect....or make matters worse.

Furst time grower - Harvest ?

This outdoor MauiWowie plant has been performing very well until we got hit with a couple big rains. The plant is yellowing and some buds are browning out. The trichomes are all cloudy but very few are amber. Should I selectively start removing the colas with browning buds or should I wait?

My first grow since the 80's

Got the BT and will apply tomorrow. Buds are starting to look good.

My first grow since the 80's

I have not yet had to spray anything. For my other nursery plants I use Biotene All Season Horticultural Oil for insects and powdery mildew. I was told not to use that and only use Neem Oil if required.

My first grow since the 80's

I encounter powdery mildew and all kinds of caterpillars and insects on my Japanese Maples in August here in Maryland. I posted this close up picture elsewhere and was told not to worry about these bumps. Do you agree?

My first grow since the 80's

Now I see the flowering and yes you all were right....they are very noticeable. BTW, a few comments were made about the 3 leaf blades but shortly after I transplanted my plants to the outside all of the new leaves are 5 bladed. They seem to be doing quite well.

    Bumps on leaves

I noticed the same thing on my otherwise healthy plants.

My first grow since the 80's

Plants just went to flower last week and are 5.5 feet tall. I'm expecting that they will get much taller. No pests or problems so far.

My first grow since the 80's

I just noticed that after you mentioned it. All have 3 blades (see pics). I see it could indicate some sort of problem. I looked at photos of other Maui Wowie plants on ILGM and they all look to be 3 bladed. I hope it is genetics. Tks

My first grow since the 80's

The days are getting shorter already. I get 14:30 of daylight now in MD and by end of August it will only be 13:08. I see on some discussions that it will be when the daylight falls below 13:00. Still not sure.

My first grow since the 80's

I am in Maryland, and they just passed the new law that allows us to grow two plants per year. Geez thanks guys! The law makes no sense with all the conditions they added but I am taking advantage of it anyway. I am a licensed Nurseryman, so I have to be careful so that I do not lose my license...
