Thanks, I'll rehome some of the spiders, they might like it in there. i tried ladybirds but they kept flying into the light and frying. In the meantime i have found a decent pesticide that seems to have done the trick without causing damage to the plants. it has thiacloprid as the active chemical.

Hi lads, My plants are being damaged by thrips. I tried some ladybirds but they didn't fancy eating the little feckers. Does anyone have advice on a good insecticide available in ireland that will get rid of thrips. Damage is identical to this btw. They are tiny long off white/yellow things...

Hi chow, My plants are 6 weeks old and all look great with nice looking buds bar this one. I think I`ll keep it all by itself just in case and see what happens. I did a little pruning of fan leaves and topped it early on as an experiment so this may have caused it to hermie.

I came across 4.5L of horsefeed mollases for €7.95 in a local hardware shop. All it says on the label is 'low sugar' It's very black and gooey, looks and tastes identical to blackstrap, but then that doesn't necessarily mean too much.

I have some hydrated lime which is good for cal and mag. I'm not so quick to use it though as it's PH is 12 or something. Would dolomite lime be better? I had a good look around for pests but couldn't see anything.
