DIY kits now available from Timber!

I wanted to to get the best light that I could for my ladies. Facing sky high electric and constant heat issues, a COB set up was clearly the best choice for me. Also, I wanted high quality, cutting edge stuff. I wasn't too excited about DIY, so the framework option gave me a turn-key solution...

    recommended ppfd range?

i don't want to decrease my yield at all. I don't want to hurt my girls either. Is the PPFD decrease linear if i dim it? I only have 1 plant in there now, and will add 1 every 6 weeks forever. I would have to guess.

500 ppfd? So that means I am way over powered with 400w Vero framework in my 3x3? Timber rates it at 1200 ppfd @ 18" Electricity rates is very high. Should I dim it?

Pictures of your DIY lights - Post your pics!!!

the frame came from Timber Grow Lights unassembled, to save $50 on shipping. Its 1x1 x 1/8", very strong. one hole didn't quite match up, so 1 heatsink only has 3 screws. The heat is a bout the same as the roleandro 600, it was 79 when i put it in there and rose to my usual 86 degrees. However...

The timbergrow 400w framework is 20"x20", so that would probably work

    Hawaii Growers

Easier to outdoor on the outer islands, a bit more crowded on oahu. Sky high electric makes me want to move outside. I could grow a couple in the back yard, if i can keep them under 6 foot and not burn them from the blazing hot sun *edit
