Now worries, Were all here for information in one regard or another. My humble opinion would be to use your own judgement. If 2/3 fans are still working well and the unit doesnt appear to be getting hot than you are probably ok. A word of caution though, Should you continue to use it be sure...
Its odd though that both plants were in the same dwc system and only 1 fell ill. Were they both the same strain? If not then that would explain it as different strains are more/less susceptible to various factors.
Congrats, Youre legitimately 1 step closer to being a Pro-Grower. Glad to hear everything is working out. We all know how crushing it can be to lose a plant, Especially if the strain is hard to come by.
If its a large (high power) led grow light than you may want to start under a CFL for atleast a few days. Seedlings dont always do well when placed directly under an extremely intense light.
Have you considered centering the lights you already have and adding some cheap UFO lights to fortify? Im assuming budget is a concern, If not there are a lot of options. If budget is a concern you could try throwing a few of these UFO's around the perimeter to bolster what you already have...
Check this place out. This is where ive been buying my led grow lights, They advertise the Actual wattage, Are a US company, Offer good warranties, And have everything from bargain lights to high end specialty systems. Led grow lights definitely work well as long as you have at least like 35...
Its both surprising and disheartening really. When I first started shopping for a led grow light I actually found that even the big US brands advertise at higher wattages than the real draw. From what ive seen almost all companies (Almost all) advertise close to Double the Actual wattage. At...
However if you were so inclined you could pop the cover off and figure out the fan size (probably 3x70mm) Once you knew the fan size you could go on ebay and buy replacements for around $10-$15.00 If you really want to make use of it then that would be my suggestion. Should take more than an...
Cheap led grow lights use minimal heatsinks (if any at all really) without the fans to cool it the internals are going to get DAMN hot. Odds are it would simply burn out the led's before starting a fire, But is that a risk you are willing to take when you are gone or sleeping? Personally I...
If you are looking for a more complete tent kit you may want to check these out. They offer a few different sizes and come with everything you would need. http://www.evolutiongrowled.com/evolution-led-plant-grow-tent-enclosure-kits.html
You would get much better results with a true led grow light. The tube style led grow lights all use low power led's that lack intensity and penetration. You may want to try something like this http://www.evolutiongrowled.com/evolution-basic-led-grow-lights.html
Heres a place worth checking out. They have many types of led grow lights as well as a lot of useful information about everything from choosing a led grow light to actually growing in soil or hydroponics. http://www.evolutiongrowled.com/
If i understand your overall concern is the air in the room becoming "stale" so to speak? Have you considered adding a carbon filter to the exhaust and circulating the old air through the house with a pedestal fan? That would prevent heat loss from the house. That or just vent it outside and...
Just keep in mind that if heat is a concern additional T5's will contribute some additional heat. However since you are running led instead of hid you shouldnt have a problem regulating temps. Adding some side light would definitely help bush out your plants so thats something to consider.
