he's right...cfls are the way to go...i'm not sure if he means 150watt or 150watt replacements (which are actually about 40watt, maybe a lil less), either way yea...keep them about 3-4" from ur plants or they might burn...i had some burnage on my last batch cuz I didn't move the lights farther...

you won't be able to tell their sex until about a week or 2 into flowering...keep an eye out 'n you'll be able to tell soon...pistils (little hairs coming out of the balls) = females; straight-up balls = males

Hey - First time grower...KB bagseed plants are about 5-6 weeks old, tallest is 7 or 8 inches...Growing in my closet in a Scott's/Miracle-Gro soil & perlite mix (drains exceptionally well), I'm using CFL's and FL tubes @ a total of 140-150 watts (10,000 lumens or so) running 24/7...the biggest...

Transferred them all to a bigger box with twice the perlite and soil...workin' with a total of 142 watts of CFL's and FL tubes all within 4"-8" of the plants

Word on the bushy phenotype - I have no idea if they are or aren't 'cuz they're just some KB bagseeds...now I'm workin' with a 40w CFL, 19w CFL, 2 13w CFL's, and 2 15w FL tubes...enough light?

Yea they're small for 5 weeks because of a light deficiency problem and a little overwatering from the start...they look very healthy now, just started getting bushier and growing a lot more in all directions. The lights are 2 13watt CFLs (to the left), 1 40watt CFL (silver reflector), and 2...

I ended up getting regular soft-white 13-watt CFL's (sylvanias)...Now I've got three of those and two of the 15-watt fluorescent tubes, one of which is blue...something like 4400-4500 lumesn

i put 3 13w CFL lights in place of all the incandescents (including the spot-gro)...apparently fluorescents are the way to go...thx for the input y'all

So I added a 40w and a 60w incandescent about 2-3 feet from the plants...total wattage is 30 fluorescent 60 spot-gro inc and 100 inc...got some shitty quality pictures i'm about to put up but they should suffice for anybody's advisement purposes...help me out if y'all can, thx
