All the pollinatef branches were tagged. Then back into the room they go, with 3 or 4 other plants that weren't good looking enough for me to include in this project.
The pollination was done on day 28 of flower. All these girls are 63 to 70 day strains so we should have plenty of time for the...
One at a time I carried them to the bathroom for pollination.
Next the pollinated area is covered,
Then the black bag is removed after wiping myself down with a wet rag. I then sprayed the plant hoping the water would kill any stray pollen. (As well as the soil, pot and area around pot).
I then covered all the branches that I did not want to pollinate accidently (don't worry they won't suffocate :) they'll only have spent about 20 mins like this)
Ok now the girls, we have 4 Humboldt seed org blue dreams, 2 sativa phenos and 2 indica phenos (pictured on pairs), a Samsara Seeds Green Love Potion, Delicious seeds Cheese Candy, and the sister of the male, an Apothecary Genetics Sour Diesel.
Sup rollitup,
Decided to share my breeding project with yall. The male donor will be a sour diesel male from Apothecary Genetics. It's a bushy guy that had a very good structure. It's smell was skunky and diesely. It's pollen production was insane, my catchers were needing to be emptied every 12...
Hard to tell without seeing the trichomes but I'd say it's close. I agree start a short flush. I say short because I don't like long flushes, I think it deprives the plant of nutes at a vital time.
This guy's a producer! Dropping pollen everyday, and a lot of it. Getting as much in my jar as I can. Yes I know there are a few pieces of pollen sac in the jar but I am keeping it open in a large cabinet so there's no risk of mold.
My sour diesel, blue dream, and holy grail 69 ladies have 5...
Well there's a couple ways to go about that.
If in the next couple days it ends up throwing nanners, you could just kill that plant.
Or if your just going for personal use and don't mind risking s few seeds you could pick the nanners off everyday. You won't get them all so you will almost be...
It's hard to tell from the pic but it does look like it could be early signs of a nanner. Keep a close eye on her and inspect her alllll over each time. Hope all turns out well.
Looking good man. As said before I'd drop the humidity a bit if possible, it will save you headaches down the road.
Did you top and lst? Or top lst and supercrop?
Saw pollen in my collectors when I got home from work. Collected a small amount maybe .025 grams if I had to guess. Like the tiniest little bumb. Put it in an open mason jar in my pantry with the lid halfway on so it could dry out. Made more levels of collectors, sprayed about a 6 ft radius...
oh i plan to grow the off spring and let yall know how it goes in a seperate breeding project thread I will start after I collect the pollen.
I do have a pic of his sister I can share tonight.
Let tent stay at 80 percent rh for 3 days so I'd say good resistance to mold. No pests for the little...
Thanks Cranston. And cool white bb. It's only been 4 days but here are pics from 2 minutes ago. I will continue to post pics and update this thread with my progress.
The smell on the male is super skunky, my wife described it as musty/skunky.
I'm also attaching some pics of the girls just for fun.
