Okay guys well i tried to open to that damn fireplace and its sealed pretty good maybe just rusted shut... I honestly just started with my 250 if Im having no issues with heat.. heat stays like i said 77-80 with 250 in room. should I just use the 250 or would I need ventilation with 2 - 250 watts

well see thats the thing..like you said it would seem to me you open light is seen and closed no light.. i look straight up and only see the damper... i saw the light through the side of the handle by the opening of the damper
