Still unsure as to what is going on, need veteran help PLEASE

Once a week? Yeah man, that sounds a bit heavy. Water holding capacity sounds high. It's optimal to let the soil dry, but not so far the plant droops. Then it's important to get some runoff each time you water. (yes, organics too) It helps rid the soil of silts and excess dissolved solids. Soil...

If supplementing nutrient, I always stick to the pH range the manufacturer recommends. I think it's important. And I don't ever bother to pH plain water using soil. Only pH plain water growing hydro. Organics I'd be happy around 6.5 even close to 7. 6 is a tad low and anything lower than 6 is...

And my suggestion is to also wait until the soil dries, before taking a soil sample to test pH, as it's required to test properly. pH pen, you'll need to make slurry using dry soil + distilled water. Test kit, you use dry soil + supplied liquid solution to make slurry. Before you can do, or...

Still unsure as to what is going on, need veteran help PLEASE

This whole thread there's no mention of your input pH, what is it? Or your pot's volume, what is it? How frequently is it getting watered and how much at a time? I don't personally believe you need lime, if you're going by your waste or runoff. You can expect the output pH to be slightly lower...

You'll be right. Just take it easy for now. Good luck.

Still unsure as to what is going on, need veteran help PLEASE

I'm having a lot of fun running 20% potting mix to 80% perlite, have to say. There's just enough water left in the potting mix to tie me over to the next day. Drain-to-waste style. Actually finding it easier than coco coir. PH seems more stable and I don't have to water as much. Been doing the...

Those spots in the 2nd photo look a bit suss to me. Can't say what exactly, but I don't think it's nutrient related myself. The colour is off and there's signs of necrosis, rather than leaf cannibalization imo. If it's an infection, it's likely down to your environment. Likely too humid and too...

BluLab pH pen won't calibrate in 4.0 solution

I just got the same with the EC combo. I like it a lot too.

BluLab pH pen won't calibrate in 4.0 solution

I don't personally recommend HM Digital brand pH meters, if you end up needing to replace, as it sounds like you might need to. I've gone through 2x HM Digital ph-200's in a matter of weeks. Same deal, couldn't calibrate properly and calibration would drift. First one was dead on arrival and...

    Growing landrace indoors & Hermaphroditism

I've included some of the source material I can find, that I've saved. I find genetics fascinating and am always happy to share. Always reading about it. Also, I want to say again that classification is important when it comes to this topic. By definition any plant with the presence of male and...

    Growing landrace indoors & Hermaphroditism

It's not the plant's environment. It's the natural presence and % of monoecious plants in the gene pool or population. (Dioecious vs Monoecious) It's natural. There'll naturally be more hermaphrodite (monoecious) plants than usual, because theoretically, there hasn't been the same amount of...

    Wtf are these bugs

You're going to catch all sorts of bugs with one of those. Accept bugs are a part of life outside. Sticky traps won't be of much use. Since they're young and in veg, If you really are concerned, I'd opt for neem oil spray. Spray late afternoon when the sun's going down. Neem works as an...

Lower leaves got worse overnight starting to spread

I would have removed them myself before spraying. Just how I roll. Physical removal is a good first step and effective prevention tool. Good IPM practice. Really doesn't matter at this point, it's up to you.

Lower leaves got worse overnight starting to spread

Generally, physical removal is good IPM practice and a best first step. I would remove them. Then spray.

    Well, that’s embarrassing!

Dunno. Takes a while to reveg a plant though. Have a feeling you'll be OK. Little bump in the road maybe. Only time will tell. More concerning is the overfert. Plain water with good run off, if you haven't already. Or res change if water culture. Then carry on with the same you were feeding them...

Looks like mg or potas deficiency but hitting top growth first?

You'd be seeing symptoms on older growth, not new growth, were it Potassium or Magnesium deficiency. Personally I don't see anything to worry about. Looks fine. If it got worse, I'd suspect overwatering. If you're watering often. Or lockout, if you haven't been watering until some runoff. At...

    Yellowing leaves

I think so. They should snap out of it. Recommend getting one. Handy to have.

    Yellowing leaves

Yes. I'd be raising my input EC with good runoff. I think they're just hungry. You've been feeding on the lighter side, with two waters between. Should be pretty safe to do so in my opinion.

    Yellowing leaves

    Roughly...thereabouts. (10% of 5gallons)

    Yellowing leaves

That maybe true. But you're not seeing half a gallon runoff from a 5 gallon pot, when they're getting 2 litres each per watering. Should be seeing about 2 litres in runoff per 5 gallon pot.
