I defoliant a lot to concentrate the growth to the new growth and not the big fan leaves.. I leave usually take the inner leaves to allow light. Never ever cut all leaves off top unless the two leaves at the top are developing inner nodes. If they have not developed you will kill the top.

Mainlining should only be done on a node that is perfectly in line with its partner as long as they are perfectly inline … not the slightest staggering, or it will not distribute nutrients evenly. This is why seed is the way to go …because when you involve cloning, you already have interrupted...
