According to OhSoGreen, they all consume about half their body weight a day in organic matter. Another question: Are live worms bothered by soil amendments such as fertilizer, mychorrizal fungi, molasses, or pre-made earthworm castings?

wow thanks OhSoGreen :) I just picked up some free samples of Mycorhhizal (sp?) fungi at the grow shop, and am bubbling it with some earthworm castings and molasses for tommorrow's watering.

feed her 1/4 strength at first. look in your phonebook for greenhouse supply stores. call them and ask if they have organic liquid fertilizer.

Why are you using bloom ferts on your seedlings? You need to flush them, wait until they are a month or two old, and then feed them a veg fert like Foxfarm Grow Big.

Heh, you're using Miracle Grow and you are scared that Foxfarm is bad for your plants? LOL It will be better for your roots than the Miracle Gro. :D

Willow bark contains salicylic acid, which is a precursor to aspirin (salicylin). My grandmother used to put an aspirin in her vase when she would cut roses to keep them fresh longer. They never sprouted roots, though ;)

My friend is on a liquid diet due to his jaw being wired shut... I gave him a AVBC beer (Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema) last night specifically because the micro bugs and live Brewer's Yeast are good for his lower intestinal tract. I think I'll pour a Red Tail Ale into my watering reservior...

The sun is way better for your plants than a few CFL's but if they are used to the indoor environment, you'll want to harden them off the the harsher outdoor environment to prevent shock.
