you'll probably kill the seedlings with 400hps. I did a trial with my 150w hps with 6 seedlings. 4 burned up and 2 got mutated to hell but survived by switching back to cfls. good luck

YOU won't start the flowering process. The plants will go into flower when they are ready, no light schedule change required. At 16 days, I would guess you will see the start of flowering very soon. Although, in the pic they look really small for over 2 weeks... I'm new too. My autos...

My bloom nutes drop the pH a full 1-2 points depending on the mix. And yeah, measure the pH after all your mix is together.

Are you venting your room outside? I have an "under the stairs room" the same as yours. I have a 6x15 inch intake at the floor and a simple 70cfm bathroom van venting outside on 45min off 15min on intervals. My air exchange seems pretty good now...wondering if I'll need to add a carbon filter...
