    Rookie here

Buy an HPS ballast for your lights, then use MH conversion bulbs(designed for use in HPS ballast) for vegitation 18/6. then install the HPS bulbs when its time to flower 12/12. You usually want more watts during flowering.

? for the 4x8 table growers using HID lighting during vegetation

Was wondering if you use 3 600 watts during veg or only during flowering? Would the light be wasted or help grow them strong and fast with the 3 lights on? Just wondering what the difference would be using 2 600 watts vs 3 600 watts during vegetation.

Acapulco Gold, Colombian Gold or Panama Red?

Really!!?? I'd definetly buy some if they are pretty close in genetics to the original panama red! Has anyone grown this out who is an old timer from the days of the real panama red? Does it compare?

    Dinafem blue widow?

I love blue widow, I fell in love a few years ago when the tude gave me a freebee seed. I grew it outdoor and it was super dank and nice yielding, not regular by ANY MEANS! I even grew out an unknown cross with the blue widow and it was just coated in crystals. Dinafem Blue widow FTW!

What Reflective Materials can I use for my Grow Room?

Mirrors are the worst to go with, all that light has to pass through the glass reflect off the mirror and pass through the glass again. You loose sooooo much light by using mirrors. That one guy who uses them would probably see a world of difference if he used a good reflective material.

WARNING! Digital/ Electronic ballasts can get you busted! The A.M. radio test!

Nope, as I stated CFL light does not penetrate like HID so put them 2" from the plants and you still don't have light comparable that a HID emits. Do your home work before passing on false information. CFL's can not substitute HID

    1st time about to start

400 watts would create a lot of heat in that small space you have, the 250 watt will be fine. your grow area is just over 4 sq ft right? thats about 60-65 watts a square ft which is great, you only need about 50 watts a square ft. Let us know how it goes!

    1st time about to start

Is that just the ballast or does that include hood and bulb? Take a look at some of the econo HPS setups from some of the online retailers, they have good deals way within your price range. I wouldn't go cfl because they are less efficient than HID. You would get way more usable lumens from a...

What about the calibration solution, is it reusable? How much do you use for each calibration?

WARNING! Digital/ Electronic ballasts can get you busted! The A.M. radio test!

Get the magnetic ballasts! Using cfls you would use a lot more power to equal the light intensity of an HID lamp. In the end you pay more money for cfl light than HID when compared lumen for lumen
