What strain are you growing? Harvest should be the last thing on your mind, but to answer the question could be anywhere from 7-14 weeks to flower and 1 week min to veg.

Scrog = Screen of Green. Do some research on it, gives you great results in the end. Im going to give it a try next grow. Check out mr2shims grow journal thats where I personally got this info. But I believe its called Scottyball Style...

How did you germinate? Paper towel method? Cup of water? Did you just throw it in moist dirt? Be patient, my LSD took 5 days to sprout

As BU said, topping slows vertical growth on the main stock and allows for a more bushy plant. Yes, more tops is better, that will give you a higher yield. If you have proper lighting (400w+ HID) setup, id suggest topping, prob 4th node or so, then LST, and scrog. That will give you multiple...

if 60$ is expensive stick with cfls. even then for a good crop/yield you're spending near that on cfls/fixtures.
