    BML Spyder600 Review

Maybe you skipped over the Utah State study of the 600W Spydr, same PAR as 1000w HPS. Do you know the PAR output of a 1000W HPS mounted at manufacturers recommended height of 36"? It's marketing for pretty much any other company other than BML. They have the proof. There are some very...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Yes, from their website, they list a 1000 watt in greenhouse applications. As you know, 1000 watt hps =/= all 1000 watt hps, the way LED giving great results =/= all LED giving great results. "Due to an innovative optical system, the SPYDR 600 can provide the same PPFD (PAR) levels as 1000W...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Whether you believe it or not man, you're actually helping me understand all of this more and more and I appreciate you taking the time to go through all of my points with points of your own. The BML 600 is 330W but replaces a 1000 watt HPS (PAR for PAR). They use passive heat sinks whereas...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Sounds like you're taking this personal. Didn't mean it that way at all. Just stating that it would be foolish for anyone to purchase a high dollar product based on "I haven't heard anything bad about it." I researched Mars II for a long time before I found people with consistent negative...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Travis who works at BML sent me a PM over on Reddit and said "we are introducing new products later this year. I can't give you a specific time frame, but wanted to be upfront in case you wanted to wait. I'll extend the same price whether you choose to buy now or wait for the next-gen system."

    BML Spyder600 Review

Before I pull the trigger, I want to be comfortable in my decision. I guess I was hoping a manufacturer to at least send off their light to have the same test or similar performed to back any umol claims. Saying that the AmareTech doesn't get bad marks simply because no one has put an SE220 in...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Manufacturers recommended 36" above canopy on double ended HPS.

    BML Spyder600 Review

Yeah, I don't understand that video. BML Spydr 1200 was 1163umol and you're saying a Solar Elipse 220 delivers 1831umols. The LSG VividGro V2 'CLAIMS' theirs at 1081 umol at 24"-30" and a PAR Efficiency of 1.838 μmol/J delivered. The VividGro that they tested was V1, but I'm starting to think...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Can you link the Utah State video about the 880? I've only seen the pdf. Nothing mentioned the SolarStorm 880, just the Solar Storm 400. I can't even find the stated PAR output of the SolarECLIPSE SE220 anywhere. They have a really lousy setup on their site. Hardly any information given...

5x5 closet grow using SolarStorm 880

So did they replace the light and are you still happy with how it turned out?

    BML Spyder600 Review

As far as I understand it, cannabis needs just two wavelengths in the red band and two wavelengths in the blue band to provide over 95 percent of the light needed for all phases of plant growth. My problem with Spydr was that they didn't have two of these bands. Specifically blue. My problem...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Yeah, I think I'll wait and see what happens with BMLs new lights. Any idea what the Amare 880 quotes for coverage? is it 4x4 or 5x5 or?

    BML Spyder600 Review

No, it's funny, my heart was set on Mars for the cost alone (by way of medgrower1 on youtube), after researching I realized they weren't using the most dependable LEDs/chips and another grower that was using the 1600w told me the penetration just wasn't there, so I moved on... I found Illumitex...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Yeah, not sure what you mean, but lots of guys do a 4x4 scrog with 1 plant. This is his setup. Claims he's getting about approximately 2lbs per scrog. Seems like a good way to go if you're feeding lots of nutes and teas. You only have to water 1 plant.

    BML Spyder600 Review

Thanks for the update, you're the first person I have read that isn't impressed with BML. I know guys who are running them in their Medical grows 1x1200 for each plant and they say that they are doing awesome. Where do I find that Amare 880 for $2400? I don't see it anywhere on their site. I...

    BML Spyder600 Review

Oh I see, I'm interested in understanding why you would go with a product that uses fans and consumes 880 watts to a Spydr 1200 that consumes only 670 watts and has passive heat sinks and PAR readings that are insane, and the price is nearly $1,000 cheaper. I've talked with guys who put the...

You went with the 880, but only used 440? Those 220s run $800 each, so 880 would be $3200? What the????
