First Grow on Fresca Sol/ Scrog

Here are some more pics from week 4 of bloom. AK48 showing vigorous blooming while P-Skunk is seriously lagging behind - Not even a tiny Goddamn bud! AK48 has 41 main stalks. All with nice tight budding on them. Here are the shots:

    Arjans Ultra Haze #1

I hear the word "earthy" alot when reading these descriptions. Exactly what does earthy smell like?? Does that mean its like putting your nose to your lawn and having a sniff? Lawn grass and dirt?

    Fresca Sol water cooled lights

Hey Oregon, you contradicted yourself with this comment. How do you know......if you do not know??? Experience? Or is it that you made your decision and youre sticking to it, whether youre wrong or right?? Hmmm...

First Grow on Fresca Sol/ Scrog

So far the room (3 1/2' x 4 1/2') hasnt gone above 77* with the door closed. Works very well at transfering heat into the resevoir in the garage, reducing heat sig to a 45 gal waste can - instead of a whole room or attic full of heat from air cooling. Cools off well over night. Bulb is cool...

First Grow on Fresca Sol/ Scrog

Alright.... I spared you all the first 5 weeks from seed to beginning flowering. Just turned lights to 12/12 a week ago. I used chicken wire for the scrog screen. All holes are now plugged. 52 sites/tops were counted. Two plants: Left = AK-48 Right = Powerskunk Here is the setup...

    Reflectivity of glass.

I was wondering of anyone knew the approximate amount of light that an air cooled hood reflects as the light passes through the glass. Some say 3%, other say 10%. Does anyone know for sure how much? Any science on the net? Links? Thanks in advance, -NYK

    Fresca Sol water cooled lights

Hey Oregon - do you know around how much the glass filters or reflects? The water part doesnt seem all that significant to me, around 3% at 3/4 of an inch of water. And yes, I do think AC hoods work more efficiently with bigger operations. Mine is 3 1/2' x 3 1/2' so it makes good sense for...

thermal imaging technology VS water cooled lamps (1000w)

.....Everytime I read this guys posts I hear it in Bubble's voice. Same with "Earl" I hear his posts in his voice. Sorry, I had to say it.

    Could I be...?

Yeah man, I think we are just developing allergies to certain strains. You get older, and weaker for this kind of shit. Some people just dont pay attention to this type of thing and it goes un-noticed until they're in the hospital years later. Like I said previously - Alcoholic bums (not all...

    Could I be...?

Goddamn thats funny. I seriously think I did something similar. Especially smoking w/ friends when youre younger: "Dude... clear that bong load.... goog boy, now hold it in for a ten count" (cough-cough...cack-CAAACK- Hack-hack-hack!!!!!) Peer pressure was high back then... almost as high as...

    Fresca Sol water cooled lights

Hey holmes, check this out. I found some pretty good "scientific" info here for all the nay-sayers regarding water filtration of red wavelengths. It is an easy read with some good diagrams. I think the site is about underwater photography: Check it out -...

    Liquid/Water Cooled Light

So if 5 meters of sea water filters out around 90% of red light, that means 1 meter filters aproximately 18% of red. So that would ultimately mean that the 3/4" of clear water your light is passing through in the Fresca's(:blsmoke:) light case is filtering around.......3% of red light?? Does...

    Liquid/Water Cooled Light

Hey I just found something interesting... This article says that water reflectivity is directly related to the angle at which the light is hitting the water. If it is shining down at 90 degrees there virtually no loss in spectrum or lumens (around 3% - not bad): "Water particles interact...

    Liquid/Water Cooled Light

I know, I have heard alot of horror stories of bulbs exploding and what not. Mostly based on peoples fears of water vs electricity though. I have never actually met anyone who had to pick any shards of glass from their neck. Currently, I am one of 5 people who are on the bandwagon with the...

    Could I be...?

Hmmm. I dont recall anything happening around pollution or cig smoke. I have the occasional cig smoke a feew times a week, but never have this problem. Yeah. it seems too much food will set off a similar rash of symptoms. I have been reading up on the "hiatal hernia" thing and I learned that...

thermal imaging technology VS water cooled lamps (1000w)

Lets say you are venting (air) into another room, away from the grow room. The room that is receiving the heated air will eventually reach unbearable temps. Lets say you are a bigger operation, and you need to vent outside. You will stick out like a sore thumb on any heat sensing radar. Just...

    liquid cooled H I D lights

I hear alot of people saying they dont like the idea of "mixing water with electrical". But do these same people refrain from dropping an 80 watt water pump into nutrient resevoir?? So whats the difference? Does that mean having an everyday fish aquarium is totally irresponsible? I have...

    Fresca Sol water cooled lights

Hey Ridge, I know this is an old post but I have to ask - exactly how much light does this set-up actually filter out? The one guy commented on page one of this post that the water filters out 30% of light with an added 10% per glass shield. Is that true? 50%??? I just bought one about a month...

    Liquid/Water Cooled Light

I have this water cooled Fresca Sol light that I am running a 600 watt hps through. I have it recirculating through a 45 gallon waste can in a seperate room (garage, nice and cool). The room is 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 feet, and doesnt ever get above 78.8 degrees F. I am doing it scrog style and almost...
