Yeah me too - Most of the time I tend to veg longer than most people do when doing a true mainline and only go for four, keeping the side branches - just depends on how that particular plant is doing and when i get to it lol
Yeah, just take the top off of the main cola right above the node where the two side branches are growing, careful not to damage those nodes though. Those two branches then grow like main colas... It also triggers the plant's hormones to start growing bushier... In theory you could clone the top...
Depends on the strain and how it's doing really - you'll get a sense of when they are ready. If from seed personally I wait and top them at least once around week 2-3 veg, and then wait for that to grow and recover a bit, and then either top again, or just bend and train the new main colas until...
Good stuff. Just my two cents about the pot size, if you are using larger than say 3 gallon or so, make sure you are actually vegging enough to utilize everything you have there... Next up, start learning LST, super cropping, monstercropping etc...
Yes, lots of training needed sometimes, and yes you do miss that vigor you can get from certain seeds, but also I would add that, at least for me, I've had a lot better luck getting clones to take this way compared to vegging clones...
Just my own experience that's all... Your mileage may vary is something I should put in my sig... Of those four points mentioned above none of them have ever been an issue for me in three years of doing it...
Good advice here... I basically do the same thing - I hang the whole plant upside down for a couple of days, then cut the side branches off the bigger stalks and hang those for a few days - then eventually when it's ready cut those into smaller "sticks" that I'll keep rolled up in a piece of...
Hmm not sure - doesn't look that bad though - Probably just those high ppms maybe? I agree it looks like what a purple strain might do... regarding the leaves - any kind of hybrid from what I've seen can have varying leaf shapes all over it depending on the pheno - Like I've got an indica dom...
I mean, yes, leaves will do this, especially if they are down at the bottom where there's not enough light. But I agree it does look like maybe a little light on the nutes... Overall light green and fading too soon... How big is that pot?
Second that opinion on NFTG nutes, really good stuff and beginner friendly I think. Also agree you need more light - I started with a 350watt Vipar like that, and ended up much happier after I got some brighter HPS's... Now i run the LED's too for supplemental and veg too... And yeah I don't...
sensibleseeds - fast shipping... Although second attempt got swiped by customs. I didn't pay for super stealth though but they responded to my emails etc... good customer service.
What nutes are you using? checking ppms and ph?
Also, it seems to all be on one side - was that up against the...
I second that Master Kush opinion... Great body buzz to go along with pleasant thoughts while you drift off. Combine it with a few mg of melatonin and you're floating away on a cloud... I don't know about the high ceiling thing either though - a good indica for me when you hit that ceiling to...
Also you can get a pretty good idea from looking at the main stem - it will start to darken up and get thicker from the soil up when it's getting rooted... And just leave them alone for a good week or two, don't get impatient like I used to and keep messing around with them. That's a sure fire...
