    direct to soil cloning

yes, seed starting soil would be perfect. in fact if you have it that makes this even easier because the seed starting stuff should not have any time release nutes. when the plants are just cuttings, meaning before they root, you do not want them having any type of nutes except the rooting...

    direct to soil cloning

you clip the tips of the leaves because you want the plant to concentrate on growing roots, not going through transpiration. the leaves would basically be sweating water into the air that would otherwise go into root production. it also helps to identify when new growth has started.

    direct to soil cloning

i can now see new growth just starting to form. can gently tug on the little plants and tell that they are rooted because they don't come right out of the dirt. i'll post one more update in a week to show further growth...

    thai super skunk grow

the closet i started this grow in has been too small. it was only 25" x 34" and having a 600w HPS in there was way too hot for these plants. today they are in a new room, this one is still a work in progress, but is looking good so far. the ladies have a 61" x 34" space to lounge around in AND...

I have bugs in my growbox but not on my plants

i seriously doubt what you see flying around are spider mites. they are so small and so hard to see unless you have a serious infestation. they are mites, they are crawlers not flyers. they don't even have wings.

    How to begin...

you can get anything from 150w HPS on up... better yet, spend $125 and get a 400w HPS... this will easily let you get 3-4 plants at a time, and you could use it to make one monster of a plant on it's own... good luck bud

    Leaves curling hardcore...

imo... you folks might all be overthinking this... to me it doesn't look like anything but typical sativa curling. have a look around the RIU site at pictures of sativa dominant strains and you'll notice the majority of them look "curly" at the tops during mid to late flowering, i know mine look...
