    im not sure about topping ive never done it but there is lots of information on here about it. i see why u wanted them cfls acouple inches away but keep in mind u want tight 'nodes and the plant is gonna stretch more during weeks 3-4 on its own. just my experience

    sometimes the leaves on the bottom will yellow and fall off if rootbound..... something to think about
