oh ok, its with soil, scotts planting soil.

I don't get hardly any water in the catch tray below the pot if any when I watered today. The temps at night get down to around 65, and as high as 78 during the day, but usually stays around 74, or 75 during the day. When I said soil mix, I meant that the soil is mixed with perlite, at an 80/20...

Its a 3 gallon pot, filled up all the way except for about an inch at the top. Probably around 3/4 of a cubic foot. It has about an inch of perlite at the bottom, and 80/20 soil/perlite mix the rest of the way up.

Thanks for the replies. The lower leaves do have brown spots on them, probably should have taken better pics. I haven't watered for four days until today, I have a cheap moisture/ph meter that I check the soil with, and it indicated it was dry. Its was given two quarts of water today though...

Do you think the distance from the light is part of the problem? The way the fixture is cooled I can put my hand on the top of the plant and it doesn't even get warm.

I think the yellow orange light from the HPS makes it look funky with all of the mylar around it, it does have some brown spots on some of the leaves though. Its in a 3 gallon pot right now, so your saying I should give it more water to flush it? Thanks

thanks natmoon, I have been letting my water sit out for a couple days before I water. Its starting to look a little better, so hopefully I won't have to transplant it. Should I have to do that, does that stunt the plants growth at all?

How long do you think it will take to recover? Also, if it doesn't start to recover at a certain point, how difficult is it to transplant? Thanks for your replies.

I agree with a few of the other posters. HTG supply is a great place, they have a storefront on ebay and all the transactions remain private. I just got a 400W HPS/MH with an air cooled ballast, and recieved it in about a week out here on the west coast. Excellent people to deal with.
