    Riddle me this

A flat canopy is my only goal too. Topping seems easier to me than tying down branches. My plant that I tied the center stem down is now off center in it's netting now and is still growing taller than the rest. The other, that I just topped, has remained symmetrical and the side branches are...

    Riddle me this

I was wondering about that. Almost every product I looked at had more or equal P to K.

    Meddling too much?

Thanks, I did soil for three years and wanted to try something different. I guess it is kinda cheating though. I always had trouble with am I watering too much, too little, etc. I know now I was never giving them enough now. Right now I'm adding 32 to 48oz each day to each plant. First hydro...

    Riddle me this

I topped one of my plants three days ago because I felt it's canopy was going to be hard to manage and also as a little experiment. There were absolutely no negative changes. I was expecting at least some droopy leaves for a few days. Everything I've seen and read says if you're going to top an...

    Meddling too much?

Exactly right, seedling stage is the hardest! I just tell myself things are going great so don't mess anything up now. I'm in week 6 and my autos started to flower 2 weeks ago and things are finally getting exciting again. Put net up on one plant yesterday and did a nute change today. Not...

    Cooling my DWC

It dawned on me today that, if I ever decide to go to RDWC, I could easily adapt this for that. I would want to have the heat exchange coil made from stainless steel instead of copper. Then use the large cooler for the reservoir. No need to worry about the noise, heat, and expense of a quality...

    Meddling too much?

How does everyone resist the urge to constantly meddle with their grow or is it just me? I'm thinking I got too much free time being single and retired. At least I get some exercise going up and the stairs several dozen times a day. Pretty sure I saw my dog rolling her eyes a couple times just...

    Cooling my DWC

After growing in soil for three years I decided to take the plunge into DWC late last year. I went with DWC instead of RDWC because of limited space and uncertainty of success. After much research I realized that keeping my nute temps low was my biggest concern. I’d like to share the details on...

    Riddle me this

Yes it's a 2' x 4' x 72" tent. I scaled up from a 20" x 36" x 60" because I never really had enough height before and was expecting to have larger, taller, and wider plants. I am happy with my yield, even in soil with the smaller tent I was typically getting 140 to 250 gm. I realize now that...

    Riddle me this

Wow, this thread has been an absolute aha moment for me and with perfect timing! I am into week five on my second dwc auto-flower grow of Super Lemon Haze from ILGM in two "Hydrobucket" buckets (which are amazing!). My first attempt at dwc was two Blue Dream autos from ILGM. Best yield I've had...

    Nutrient temperature swings

Anyone have any opinions on what would be acceptable nutrient temperature swings in a RDWC systems? For instance, how much would a gradual 3 degree swing in a 8 hour period stress plants assuming temps remain somewhere between say 67 to 73 degrees?

First harvest, how does she look?

One time, and never again yet, I got 1lb from two GG4 autos. Seven ounces from one which was great smoke. The nine ounce plant fox tailed and I ended up making bubble out of it.

    Ventilation

Thanks for the welcome! Thermostat only has a switch for "timer" or "always on". I think I'll had a secondary vent from old 4 inch parts and just time it to only run when lights are off.

    Ventilation

I was disappointed that I hadn't received any responses and then realized that maybe people suspected my post could be spam because I attached a picture of my thermostat and this was only my second post as a new member. Then again maybe no one had any ideas. I assure you I wasn't trying to sell...

    Ventilation

I'm using a simple thermostat connected to the vent duct fan to control high temps in a 2x4x6 tent. Upside it works well with a less than 2 degree swing. Downside there is no ventilation during the 6 hours that lights are off. Is there anyway to automatically override the thermostat when lights...

    Apera PC60 calibration frequency

If using a meter everyday to check nutrient solution how often is calibration of pH and EC necessary?
