Try some plastic and put one of those zippers that stick to the plastic to create a room. This will make it easier to manage a small space as opposed to the whole house humidity issue. Try venting out side or in to an attic space. Just till you have funds to make a more permanent fix.

Some manufacturers seem to be able build lights to be just as good as bar lights but not with all the size, weight, ect, and who is to say what is really better I think they all have a place and application for all.

Try replacing the original batteries. I had problems with those kind too but once I replaced the batteries they were fine. Those Chinese batteries suck.
