just an example - sorry for hijacking the thread, want to make sure you all know I'm not just spouting BS - I use DWC with 5 gallon buckets botanicare pro grow and bloom and thats it, this is from a few rounds ago but should give you an idea of what is possible with 12/12 from seed, strain is...
Yes I sprout directly into a 12/12 light cycle and it never changes.
your assumption about yield is incorrect, most plants naturally 'veg' even under 12/12 for a few weeks up to about 6 weeks usually depending on the sativa influence, from there, there is still a week or 3 of 'stretch' then...
you said Hydro, DWC? RDWC? Flood and drain? what you got? PPM? What type of nutes? what are your temps? what is the water temperature, what is the starting PPM of the water you use, what water are you using? etc etc etc etc
happy to elaborate. 12/12 from seeds with most strains allows me to harvest within about 3 months, meaning I can harvest 4 times per year in the same space a standard 4 week veg time may only be harvesting 3 times per year. Secondly, indoors for most people limits height substantially, not you...
all i can say is that I run 12/12 from seed because some strains do take more than a few weeks to kick over to flower- vegging plants indoors is overrated and obsolete in my opinion, hard to believe they havent been stretching like crazy in the last two weeks - you may have some other problems...
@BurntByFire I like to tell everyone to not sweat the small stuff, and that sometimes trying to over treat a minor problem can cause more harm than good, overall its hard to tell (entire plant shots are nice) but it seems like the rest of the plant is pretty healthy, just dial in the PH and...
@Eaglesfan429 in my experience if there is still green on the plant, you can probably save it, but like others already mentioned, only if its really worth saving. the time it takes you to bring something like that back from the grave is equal or more than it takes to regrow the plant.
you are not wrong, but this is just not what I would call bud rot, since its only a handful of preflower/calyx, and its more likely that the reveg just allowed those preflower/calyx time enough to dry up and die on the plant.
I would try to remove all the old growth that's turned brown if possible. It will only cause problems later if it gets encased in bud and has a nice dark moist environment to rot in.
It may never go away completely, but since you've move the light back and are only at 4 weeks, it probably wont be very noticeable at harvest, and it certainly wont drastically effect the plant otherwise.
not clearly bud rot, which is normally moldy and fuzzy in appearance, I think what happened is maybe reveg, and the old calyx's just started to die off and turn brown, this CAN instigate bud rot when it happens inside big dense buds.
honestly just looks like you bleached the top a bit @rkron0413 the yellow nanner looking things just look like bleached baby leaves to me. if it IS a herm, theres not a clear sign and its not out of control.
