    Mysterious necrotic spots

Yeah, I'd bundle much of these posts together. Promix HP: Adjust your pH downward to 5.7-6.1 range (I aim at 5.8 ). I've never used Dyna-Gro but even with other nutrients I don't usually exceed about 1.8EC (~900ppm). I'd push maybe twice as much water through that medium to try to fully...

    Tent pressure

Positive pressure (ballooning) will push smell out of your tent and into whatever space your tent is living in. If you want to minimize smell you use negative pressure, but not so much that it threatens to collapse your tent.

Trove of 1970's 'bag seed' ...this could be fun.

The two test runs (of about 30 seeds each) didn't do anything. After I finish my current grow, I'm probably going to take the several hundred or so I have and do a big mass planting to see if the numbers overcome the er...'low rate' of germination. Hopefully with that many going, I might get a...

    Culling...Judge, Jury, and Executioner :(

Most popular for me is the 'full spectrum' capsules I initially made for myself so I could sleep at night. I handed some slightly higher powered ones off to a friend who uses them to 'chill'...he gave some to his wife with chronic pain and sleep issues and found they stopped that cycle. He gave...

    Culling...Judge, Jury, and Executioner :(

I like the challenge and the process/tweak aspect of it. I mostly give away what I grow or what I make from what I grow. I was more sad just that I didn't know until that one Blue Dream started flowering that it was an Auto. I would have both treated it differently as well as not planted it at...

    Quantum Par Meter Opinions?

The Photone app can be more or less accurate depending upon the hardware, but even so is probably a good option for most home growers to rough in their lighting intensity. I have a Phantom Photobio, since the reviews and some lab work showed it was pretty damn close to a much more expensive...

    Culling...Judge, Jury, and Executioner :(

I never plant 'extras' plant just what I need and if one doesn't come up within a week or so, I plant another seed. By the time you're ready to flip them for flower a week give or take doesn't really matter. The thing I hate happened to me this current grow. I only do 2 plants at a time these...

    New white pistils .

    I haven't found that, personally.

    New white pistils .

I mean, you can do whatever you want. :) I personally wait until the whole plant has brown pistils and gets that sort of 'dusty' look to the buds. Though my focus is usually on the tops since that's where the higher quality, denser flower formation is.

Legalization - I can grow again!

They certainly I guess COULD do this but in terms of public support it would be a pretty bad move, given that there's a handful of stances on issues that aren't widely embraced by the public that would further lower their support when it comes to elections.

    New white pistils .

Eh, I don't know that more pictures help a whole lot. I wait until there's no more emerging pistils and they've all browned and tightened back against the calyxes. But again, if you're having leaves dying back into the buds, that would make me nervous about budrot and I'd consider chopping them...

    New white pistils .

Yeah, those leaves dying back into the bud is a bad thing...that's a frequent cause of 'budrot'...Which would make me consider harvesting just to not have to deal with that though I'd normally grow out longer if there's a late round of pistil development. I'd use this as a learning opportunity...

Seedlings top soil drying up hours after spraying.

Agree. I don't plant that small (I start in .75g containers) but I water the soil until it comes out the bottom of the container then don't do it again until the medium is visibly dry but also light again. Spraying is like putting a couple tablespoons on top.

    Is this nutrient burn

I'm in 5g bags of Promix HP, so soilless. I water by hand, but also have a Blumat Tropf setup if I want to go with more of a standard drip hydro setup.

Vent help with new grow room

Just because I love everyone, I went out in the cold dark and took this picture: You can see that the left hand side flap is open slightly as my fan is only running low (2 out of 10 is my default resting level). As the pressure from the fan increases, it pushes both sides open progressively...

Vent help with new grow room

With the fans shut off, it'll keep everything out as the little doors will remain closed. But if your fans are running low, it'd let in bugs. I'd get some screening for bugs and just cover the duct end and secure it with one of those duct clamps. I do that on my intake with MERV13 fabric to...

    Is this nutrient burn

I like GH stuff too, but didn't really love using the traditional Trio...ended up being fussier than I liked and it was easy to get into trouble. I ended up moving over to Maxi series and have found it successful as well as easy to make adjustments. I also use their Ca/Mg & the Liquid...

Vent help with new grow room

I have this on my exhaust duct and it’s worked perfectly. No backflow for me though my fans run @ at their lowest setting while at rest. Previously, it definitely came though on colder days.
