    Vipar Spectra XS 1500 Pro ( 2023 model )

Hey Budz, can you let us know about the grow area? Looks like you just threw up some cardboard around the light and that’s it. No fans, filters, light leakage concerns, etc. I’m wondering if I can do something with all the 1/4” plywood sitting around in my garage, rather than buying a tent.

    day 3 indoor/outdoor

If the seed is holding on to the leaf, just leave it be and it’ll fall off. Nothing as fragile as that stage of a plant, which is super easily damaged. It’s just a plant not life or death, so try not to obsess as many new growers do. I’m new to growing weed but not to growing stuff in general.

Newbie building a system around a ViparSpectra XS1500 light

Question about something on the light. Next to where the power cord attaches there’s a blue rubber capping something and I don’t know what that is. I would imagine that blue rubber would melt as the unit heats up so it would be a good idea to remove it??? Per my final setup, I want it to be...

Newbie building a system around a ViparSpectra XS1500 light

I got the light & tested that it’s working. EFFING BRIGHT! Although I tried to avert my eyes as much as possible, I’m guessing I’ll need some special sunglasses so my retinas don’t get fried. So pros & cons to 2x2 and 3x3 tents, eh? OK. I’ll check out the grows done with the light and come...

Newbie building a system around a ViparSpectra XS1500 light

Hey y’all, for a long time I wanted to buy a light to start seeds in late winter/early Spring for my outdoor veggie garden, but never did because I had no idea what type of light to get. Fast forward, I got this light coming & now interested in growing some weed. If I’m in my own house but (a)...

    Vipar Spectra XS 1500 Pro ( 2023 model )

Thanks a lot, much appreciated. I’m a backyard veggie gardener. Right now the tomatoes, eggplant, & various other stuff are doing well, except for the usual pests. Spotted lanternflies are enemy #1 and they may turn out to be very troublesome for outdoor weed growers. Once I get started, I’ll...

    Vipar Spectra XS 1500 Pro ( 2023 model )

Budzbuddha, you’re inspiring me with this grow. I’m brand new to weed growing and had a rocky start with my initial attempt at growing outside, mainly because I started late in the season. So I cancelled the outdoor grow til next year and got a xs-1500 coming in the mail, which I may use to...

Maxsisun MF1000 - still top of line?

Hey OG, did you find out anything else about this light per your initial posts? From you and anyone else, is this a good light that’s competitive with others of similar size? Thanks

How do you outdoor growers do it?

About the whole pot size thing. Sometimes a person’s situation is such that they don’t want to grow huge plants, in which case they can help control how big the plants get by using smaller than optimum sized pots.

How do you outdoor growers do it?

I’m brand new to growing weed but have been growing veggie & flowering plants for years. I agree about not messing with healthy plants too much. Light-catching leaves = more photosynthetic activity. Removing such leaves might be hobbling the plant, if only a little.

How do you outdoor growers do it?

Noobie question: Isn’t a lot of the potency in weed coming from oils? Washing the weed = washing away bird poop, bugs, dirt, highest high?
