Thanks for that info. Re. inserting a link to a podcast - it looks like RIU doesn't support linking to a podcast but the URL for the episode on You Tune is here: https://www.youtube.com/@WeTheGrowers

    Ac Infinity Humidifier

88° and 80%?! Something's off there. That's a little moist for germination. VPD works off of leaf surface temperature and ambient temp + ambient RH. Check this screenshot: At 88 and 80, that's hot and muggy. 88's a little higher than you want but RH, for veg, should be in the mid to low...

    Ac Infinity Humidifier

VPD is a number that describes the vapor pressure deficit between the plant and the air in the tent. A leaf is, in some ways, a bag of water so when the temp is high or the RH is low or a combination of those two, the difference between the bag of water (leaf) and the warm and/or dry air will be...

    Ac Infinity Humidifier

I'd hang it "just above" (not very precise) the canopy. Leaves on the plant are constantly giving off moisture so the RH at the canopy level will tend to be higher than say, 6" or a foot above the canopy. VPD is helpful but it's just a tool. The big issue is that if it's high you can change...

    Led yields..

Yeh, the cooler the better. Based on that advice, I decided to retire my Growcraft X3 flower light, looking for something that had enough power that I could raise it to 18" and still get 1kµmol on the canopy. The Spider 4500 models had that kind of oomph, partially because they had a 430 watt...

    Led yields..

I agree 100% about "change my mind". For years, I've run pH at 5.8 because it's "optimal". Bugbee recently discussed problems with iron uptake if pH gets really low (5.0±) so they run their grows at 6.0. No argument from me, per photo. Do you have a link to that podcast? I'd like to hear...

    Therrion's 4' x 8' RTW SOG

The Tarantula includes 730nm diodes and has a superb PPFD map. The Diablo X has a good spectrum but no 730. The Diablo is, at its heart, a board light. The reflectors help quite a bit but the PPFD map tells the tale.

It looks like the sensor for the humidifier is on the back wall. The RH there is different than the RH for the plant. I always hang the sensor so that it's near the plant. Unless you flip them very young, two well tended plants will fill a 2' x 3'. This is one "well tended" plant in a 2' x 4'...

    Therrion's 4' x 8' RTW SOG

Fascinating set up! And those are superb lights. They're not cheap but, wow, excellent spectrum and an excellent PPFD map. You get what you pay for!

Yield dilution is a well known issue. IIRC, in wheat it causes a single digit percentage drop in protein but I'd look for another cause before I blamed yield dilution. The drop in secondary metabolites would be measurable in a lab but I do not believe that it would be enough for a human to sense...

I would encourage you to call AC Infinity tech support. They have the product knowledge and training in helping people understand how to use their products and will be able to walk you through the set up while you're on the phone.

    3 X 3 tent: Updayday 500 watt light? 400 watt MH bulb? HLG300RedSPec? 2X Viparspectra XS1500pro?

If you can get max photons with a variable spectrum, that's the way to go. The only light that I'm aware of that has variable spectrum is from Kind and maxes out at 750µmol. I checked out the $146 S3000 which is a 300 watt light and is labeled a "replacement for 500 watt HPS". At 12", it's got...

Recommended light intensity for autoflowers fluence spydr 2i 630w led

A few years ago, Mitch Westmoreland did a study on the impact of temperature on flowering cannabis. That research was part of his work for his PhD and he released a new, much more comprehensive video early this year in which he touches on a variety of topics re. cannabis. In sum, he recommends...

Too much light? Upward-curving leaves and foxtailing

Cannabis will grow well at 31°. The optimal temperature for vegetative growth is 30°C/85°F. The plants are reacting to too much light. A mature cannabis plant will thrive in 800-1000µmol, the difference being some strains are able to use more light than others. If a grow is not able to...

Too much light? Upward-curving leaves and foxtailing

Yes. These photos show a classic reaction to too much light. That shape is referred to as "canoeing" or "tacoing" and the plant is doing that to reduce the surface area that's being impacted by light. Having multiple boards will help give an even light cast so I wouldn't say that you should...

    First Grow 2x2x4 Tent

I think the big "bucket" of nutes and lots of light are the main reasons. Pistils? How old are your plants? I thought they were just a few weeks old.

    CO2 during last 2 weeks

Elevate CO2 allows the plant to photosynthesize more rapidly which, in turn, allows for an increase in the amount of glucose that the plant uses for metabolism. We know that you can cut back on certain nutrients because "construction" is over so they're no longer needed. On the other hand, I...

    Did I burn them?

There are no symptoms of light burn. The white spots, as @Hijiri has brought up, might be indicative of an infestation. You've got innterveinal chlorosis, significant nutrient issues, and the leaves appear to be very shiny. If they're brittle, I'm thinking you might have thrips. Check the...

    First Grow 2x2x4 Tent

They look really good. This plant was a photoperiod plant that was topped and LST'd. The top of the res is fiber glass so I can't push metal stakes through the top. Instead, I use fishing weights on hooks to hold the branches down. The goal of low stress training it to control the shape of the...
