Listing the historic bulb equivalent has been pretty standard since the beginning of CFLs. It may be somewhat dishonest but it may also have to do with most people don't want to memorize PAR/wattage/chip model charts.

Miracle Grow gets crapped on because it's not elite. It's a basic potting soil that will keep plants well fed well into 4 months. No, it's not as good/fast as a well thought out hydro grow. But you're not doing a hydro grow.

That seems to be a big confusion in the pot growing community. Count time from 12/12 or from beginning of real flower. To be honest, since some people put plants into 12/12 before they're mature enough to flower, the most reliable number is from flower start. That's what the breeders give.

If you already have one that's 2' deep that uses the uses the simple tube connections (as opposed to the click lock ones), you could just cut an inch off those poles.

I know I saw a good 12/12 grow from clone here. They were doing a perpetual grow - put four new clones in, take four out every couple weeks. From seed would be harder, istm, because the clones are probably better able to take the jump to the flower room quicker.

If I grow outdoors next summer, it'll almost certainly be autos. You can't trust a warmish October here anymore. Weather has become less predictable, imho. So it's either autos or a whole setup to save them from cold.
