i ordered one of their mixed packs. herbies sent it out right quick, but it's been sitting in a logistics center in the US for 5 days. not herbies fault, but highly annoying.
hopefully they are released and delivered soon.
Thank you for your response.
I ended up taking them outside and flushed them for a good 10min (pots are pretty small, so didn't go psycho on them) waited till runoff was clear(ish).
Will keep them on straight water for a bit. See how they react.
I think at this point it was toxicity and not...
- understood (now)
soil:
i mix my own soil for seedling transplant. measured by "scoops" of the hand trowel and/or teaspoons
- 10 parts raised bed soil
- 10 parts rough composted soil (lots of organic material (leaves, twigs, clumps of compost) - and yes i try to avoid the bark mulches...
not bashing you. i appreciate your thoughts on the matter. just letting you know it's something we considered and *tried* to treat it as such (without positive outcome).
agreed. need to figure out the why.
darkoh69 mentioned the possibility of the fungus gnats munching the roots, and the roots...

Hello all,
boy and i are growing some barney's farm acapulco gold. a special sentimental strain for us. my brother in law passed from cancer 2yrs ago. last time we were able to visit with him (before he passed) was at the lake, in the boat. beautiful sunset, marley tunes on the speakers and a...
excellent. thanks for response.

thanks for your response.
seems to be several schools of thought on how to handle/grow these autos. some are all for training/pinching/topping and others say to leave them be as it may stress the plant to much to flower properly.
all seem to be experienced growers with a few autos under their...
grateful for the response/opinion/wisdom.
this/these are my first autos. have a bunch of freebies laying around. figured i'd make them do something useful besides collecting dust.
been trying to read through the posts and find answers through conversation. any/all unprompted insights with...
@Oldreefer -
curious if you ever train your autos, or pinch the tops if they get unruly?
or do you just leave them alone and let them do their thing?
also, do you limit pot size/capacity with your autos?
@mandocat -
thanks for your response. appreciated.
good to know they can deal with the heat (they won't have much choice).
first time with autos, so will be an interesting experiment. have a bit of those freebies laying around collecting dust. time to put them to work... see what they...
Hey Mandocat -

did you start your autos in spring, or wait till after the summer solstice to start for fall harvest?
supposedly, the seed manuf claims that southern states can get 2 harvests (and possibly a 3rd) per...
