Had a leak last night due to me punching too big a hole in the top-feed watering ring, knew i shouldn't have left the electronics on the floor, smoked an Arduino. The white patch is where the uno was burning up.
Thanks rkymtnman, i distilled some at home and the ppm was ~125 so an EC of 0.25. Trouble is that that's the same reading after i add canna aqua a+b and some calmag.
Waiting for the proper fluid to arrive.
Delivery will take too long, found this though : https://scienceinhydroponics.com/2017/03/how-to-prepare-your-own-solutions-for-ec-meter-calibration.html
The Royal Gorilla has germinated and is in the oxypot. I've got an Arduino monitoring TDS and temps (plus pH soon).
Having a look at making my own EC calibration fluid.
Thanks 930G. The manufacturer says the Arduino probe needs no calibration, it also does temperature compensation. The cheap meter has no calibration screw. I think i'll buy some calibration fluid and check them.
Day 1 for hydro! It's a bit hot for her with the 400w light, even though the light is as high as it will go so i'll stick a 250w bulb in there instead after lights-off today.
Cheers n beers :)
One of my last grows failed, so i'm starting another two this weekend, separate journals here for each, hopefully it won't be two more fails! I have a fair few fails under my belt :/ (the other journal is here ...

I only have experience with scrogging and basic LST but yes, when you do two limbs instead of four the two limbs get to practically the same thickness of the trunk in all of the posts i've read/watched on YT.
