What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

Yup, they've definitely been cooking, and my head's definitely been spinning. I think over the ~4 years I've had this problem my HPS has done more "cooking" than Emeril Lagassi. Thank you for the info and the replies.

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

Do you mean you had/have constant issues with Jacks or GH MaxiBloom that you had to add Epsom salt?

Yes, but that's about to change. Love your avatar btw.

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

I'm planning to either go with the GH Flora system or the FoxFire Big Bloom/Tiger Bloom system on my next grow during the flowering phase as both seem highly recommended on here. Will keep feeding Cal/Mag. Just got pH test kit in mail today, going to play with it tomorrow and over the weekend...

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

How do you calculate ppm of each of the three elements from total grams per gal and an NPK ratio?

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

Yes that's what I'm doing now, 5ml CAL-MAG per gallon every watering. Is it a good idea to apply CAL-MAG during veg as well or only in flower (my plants do great in veg w/o it)? Wow. Is there any way of detecting it other than physical symptoms? I am planning to switch to either GH Flora or...

    Finally Flipped

They look like they are in a very healthy vegitative state ready to bud. Excellent job! Good work on sticking with it. 12/1 ? Typo? If not you need 12 hours lights on and 12 hours lights off, total darkness. What sort of pests are you dealing with / have delt with?

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

So the CAL-MAG needs more time to work? I guess I was expecting something like when you have a N deficiency, say, then you feed more N and like the next day the plants are noticeably greener and healthier. So you think I should continue feeding cal-mag at the recommended rate? Will it at least...

Day 28 of Flower - Death Marches On My crop is continuing it's quick rapid march to the graveyard. Every day it gets worse. I wake up, go into my grow cab, see yet more damage. Every day. It's like having an NFL linebacker tackle me at full speed - a crushing body blow, every day. A poster...

Can we talk carbon filters for a minute

Yes, ozone generators will be rated for the size of the room in square feet or the amount of air they can process per time in cubic feet per minute (CFM). Also, make sure you're taking air in from somewhere else other than where you put the ozone generator, as ozone (in sufficient...

Can we talk carbon filters for a minute

High RH has never been a problem for me during the winter, even when using a setup similar to the one I recommended to OP (the ambient RH here in winter is like 25%, so often I have to ADD humidity). Also, if he's running sufficient HID lighting in there that should generate enough heat to cycle...

Can we talk carbon filters for a minute

If it's the dead of winter, consider sealing up the framed room as air tight as you can and run a duct (no fan) from the framed room to the outside. Then, connect your exhaust fan to a thermostat that you place inside the tent. When it gets too hot in the tent, the fan kicks on and draws in...

    Anyone diagnose this

Are you in soil or hydro?

    Another pest thread

Clorox all surfaces and tools, except for the lights. Air out the tent/cab well to purge the chlorine vapors before putting any plants in there. Neem oil, insecticidal soap and pyrethrin are pesticides with negligible toxicity. I've used them all during the flowering stage with great success...

    Should I flush now?

Seconded on both. You're buds arn't ripe yet, don't pull the rug out from under 'em (flush and take the nutes away).

    Anyone diagnose this

That's low K (potassium). The yellowing / burning on the edges (margins) of the leaves is the distinctive giveaway. Consider adding 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of potash (K20) per gallon until the problem resolves. Watch for improvement on the new growth, as the leaves that are already damaged are...

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

I don't have any ph-down but I do have some white vinegar, which also lowers ph. My water is ph 7.3 out of the tap. I don't know what it is after adding the Jacks nutes, as I have no way of measuring it. Can white vinegar be added to the water with nutes in it to bring the ph down, and if so...

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

Thank you very much for your helpful, detailed reply jimihendrix1! I think you may be onto something with the calcium as the soil I used to grow in had this stuff called dolomite lyme (sp?) in it which supposedly has calcium but it's not in the soil I'm using now. Will this nute pictured below...

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

The ingredients on the nutes list all the micro-nutes except magnesium and calcium, so I don't know if they are getting (enough of) those two. I thought the same thing about salt build up, but doing a flush (3x pot size = 9gal water each) and feed seems to have no effect. In fact I just flushed...

What causes this problem in cannabis plants??? (PICS)

Do you mean the plants appear to have too much N in them or the nutes I'm using have too much N? What is GH 3 part? Is that a nutrient program like the three part Foxfarm nutes?
