I use the HPCC and the run off system 5.8 is the sweet spot. You can do a full water in between but if you know what your doing and how to read your plants it’s not required.

This mother plant is really loving the Cree.she has almost served her purpose and ready to move on soon for a smaller plant in a deep water culture setup.

I think your going to end up clogging your water pump unless you can filter your run off, second how are you going to know exactly what’s coming out off your runoff other then EC and PH.
