So I'm a bit more optimistic that things aren't going to hell in a hand basket. (Maybe...) The Durban Poison is starting to show flower, this is day 12 since flip. I did a bit of trimming up under her skirt, and she is starting to take shape. I also topped the 1968 plant and trimmed away a...

So as I mentioned earlier, I was gifted a clone from a strain that has been in continuous use since 1968. No breeding, No crosses. Just the same strain for more than 50 years. That pretty cool to me. I got her home a couple of days ago and today placed her in her permanent E&F home. She looks a...

I think I am going to jump ship and start going the sterile with pool shock route. Using synthetic nutes I don't see the benefit of running bennies. I'm using Jack's 321 dry nutes.

@curious2garden @cannabineer This is the instructions I was given and the product that I have on order. "The #3 "Shock" that I use from HTH is 52% Calcium Hypochlorite and is the only bag you need and a 1lb bag will last you yrs for like $8. Mix 5g of shock treatment with 1 gallon of water...

Sorry c2g, I did not see this earlier. My reservoir's PH is not going down, just the opposite, it's shooting up overnight. To the tune of, 5.4 to 7.3 overnight, (less than 12 hours) I have pool shock on order, but in the meantime I have just started yesterday using regular bleach at a rate of 8...

Thank you for the assistance Ma'am! 5.6 PH is where I would normally like to keep it, but with the crazy swings I was trying to compensate some. I am going to switch over to sterile reservoir, using the pool shock. Bennies just not cutting it this round. Weird part about the film and smell is...

Hello All, Looking for a little advise please. Background... I run a modified E&F system. 17 gallon tote as an external res, to a 5 gallon tote that has a 2 gallon fabric pot filled with expanded clay balls. This pic is just to give you an idea of my system. It is of this plant, but taken 25...

So today I changed the 'reservoir' on the 'clone' bucket. That's where the Grape Ape little rascal is suppose to be growing roots and leaves and shoots, you know, plant stuff! The reservoir was at 6.0 PH, and 417 PPM, tried to lower the nutrient strength a little now at 303 PPM. I raised the...

    Samsung F Strip Build

Thanks Tinc, I would diffidently try them at 700mA. You can always up the amperage later on if you would choose to, I ran my first two grows under a 'Frankenstein' type of light with salvaged 5K street light modules that I added the 3.5K strips to in an attempt to round out the color spectrum...

@iPerculate Much respect for starting a thread that has acquired so much information. Cheers! I thought I would just throw this in for the sake of conversation. There is a fair amount of discussion on the heatsink topic, so I will share this with you. I had ran Bridgelux EB Gen 2 strips at...

Well another week in the books... I flipped the flower tent to 12/12 last night. I wish my plant was in a little better health, but I just don't seem to be able to get a handle on the nutrients for this Durban Poison. Well if it went perfect every time, then we wouldn't learn anything, now would...

1st ever grow coming to an end.

Vt, Welcome to RIU. I salute your persistence, nice job getting your picture posted. I do not have enough experience to give much of an opinion, but I suspect that the more experienced growers will tell you that your plant still needs more time. (Still has white pistils, buds aren't swollen...

DD, That makes more sense... The thought never crossed my mind, as I have never done a re-veg before. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Although, a basil and weed cross might be good on a pizza! Just Saying! Cheers, WillieP

Thanks for the quick reply. It makes sense that if you blast it with enough photons, you don't need to worry. Your pics just look so different than mine, it just got me to wondering. Cheers, WillieP

Hey DD, Do you have any idea what is going on with the plant in the last picture? The one planted outdoors? It looks like you managed to cross cannabis with basil...(joking) Cheers, WillieP

    A Gentleman's Grow 2020

Your girls look great! I have a question, a legit question, not being a smart ass. I grow in the Scrog method and try to get as even a canopy as possible, I have never allowed a plant to grow naturally. It would appear in your pics like there may be as much as 24 inches height difference between...

    Is this typical?

I'm not the guy that will be able to answer your question, Sorry. I will follow along and see what type of answers you get though. I run E&F and would have made all the same assumptions that you have made. I believe that 2-3 weeks from flip, is the time frame that a lot of stuff happening...
