using soil would work fine, in fact it would save space because you wouldn't need a res. you would just need something to set under the plant medium to catch water drainage or whatnot.... I know nothing about growing in soil.... lol

Actually, I think this is the best I can do for you..... It's almost to your dimensions, but I built it based on the size of the smallest plastic bin that can work as a flood and drain system....

#OnTheWay... I dont know about venting down though..... You need a good fan to do tht..... I would say build a cheap carbon filter.... It's fairly easy and cheap, plus you can look up how to do it on this website! :blsmoke: I'll start something for you though! I'll prolly have it done tomorrow.
