If you live in the USA.

Why is g/W used as the benchmark?

The truth, it's too much effort for most stoners - I however thing a g/kWH/m^2 would be an even better metric of performance.

    bodhi seeds

Any recommended sellers for shipping to a non-Eu/US address? Customs isn't an issue, even without stealth packaging, but postal service is unreliable.

Need help think i nute burned plants with pics

Seems like the Ph is very wrong - I'd highly recommend getting a good ph testing kit (ideally an electronic tester and some calibration fluid) before proceeding with soilless growing.

    Green Smoke Room

I'm running some local swazi bagseed, flipped about 3-4 weeks ago and it's looking stellar so far. Definitely doesn't have the vigour that some of the pedigree stuff has, but it's good stuff!! There's no praying needed btw, a group called the Dagga Couple is working hard towards legalisation...

    Green Smoke Room

Sadly that's how it is here. I bought directly from a breeder and paid reasonable prices instead of $15 a seed from GSR, I paid $75 for 25 - didn't take too long to ship either. I know of 5 seed sellers and none are really great. Hopefully we'll see things improve legally in the coming months...

    Are cobs really worth it?

Hahahha your first language is CLEARLY Whinese!!! :bigjoint: I find it hilarious how self-important and hypocritical you are. You get so worked and defensive when you're the one arguing semantics. You were the one who started arguing with me, I was trying to have a discussion with Dr Dick...

    Are cobs really worth it?

There are pros and cons to each - without a definitive answer (cost, heat, efficiency, form factor etc). You generally get what you pay for and some leds are easy enough to DIY, so the cost/performance works out pretty well. I think the big contestors be between quantum boards and CMH. I'm using...

     http://www.dictionary.com/browse/contradiction You're being fucking pedantic again. If I was talking about QB, why the fuck are you bringing up blurple? Stop accusing me of having something out against you, I didn't even address you, I addressed the other troll...

    Are cobs really worth it?

No, it's being pedantic. DrDick had an issue with what I said here. I'd just like to point it out again as I'm not sure why you're trying so hard to have the last say. I didn't suggest you said that, so I'm not sure why you're getting defensive? Ok. I'm not sure what to say. I agree with you...

    Are cobs really worth it?

Insulate the room where the intake is, recirculate the exhaust, if supplementing with CO2, this will be of benefit as well, reducing the amount of CO2 needed. Of course a sealed room would probably better, then insulation becomes even more important because there are no heat losses due to...

    Are cobs really worth it?

How do you think heat is lost in a grow space where we have like 500W of heat being produced per m2? Apart from necessary ventilation, insulate the space. Not really that complicated, but hey what do I know, I just spec this stuff once a week as an architect

    Are cobs really worth it?

Yea, I was the one to point out that in my case it saves on cooling costs and that electricity doesn't cost the same all over. In my case, indoor temperatures often reach over 30c, so it'd be a matter of running AC to keep things cool enough. Irrespective, it doesn't factor in that 1000W of led...

    Are cobs really worth it?

Watts are watts. Leds turn less energy into heat, meaning less money on cooling and 1k HPS to 1k LED, the leds will ALWAYS produce more bud.
