here's a rewrite maybe easier to understand Seedlings/clones 13,500 lux at soil level Veg - by week 2 (@ 6" or 4-5 nodes tall) 16-17,000 lux Veg - @ week 4 (@12" or 8-10 nodes tall) 24,000 lux Flower 35,000 to 60,000 lux start at 35k increase a little every few days until week 3 of flower...

Need to cool my tent down

@Beehive answered it already. that is a good guideline to follow. but like he said you just gotta take time and learn some of this only comes from trial and error. different strains respond differently too. dont stress it tho. just use his numbers as a baseline. and K just means...

Need to cool my tent down

all good man I get it nothing wrong with bring technical, I was just trying to get op to realize he was blasting his plants with 2-3x the light they needed atm. I totallly understand there is a lot more to calculating a fixtures output than taking lux readings. just didn't want to overwhelm him...

    Extreme weather help. Temp control

the most stealth grow i ever saw was an old section of lattice just leaned up against the side of a shed. plants in pots went behind the lattice. scrog plant through the holes. decorate w a few fake flower blossoms. harvest a wall of golf ball nugs in the fall. no one had any clue it was weed.

Bridgelux EB Gen 3 High Output 4ft Strips

just had an idea. im going to try to contact someone from Bridgelux on LinkedIn maybe if we can find an actual engineer they can help solve this mystery. I feel like maybe the questions just aren't getting to the right people. who knows what kind of corporate ladder is in effect.

    Extreme weather help. Temp control

biggest plant i ever grew back in the day was in a flowerbed full of mushroom compost, trained and staked the plant arms with those metal croquet hoops. that thing turned into an octopus that was no taller than 3 ft. almost 1.5lbs at harvest.

not exact. the free one jumps around a bit more. but again, better than nothing. you can get at least a general idea w the free one. here's a good thread where u can then use the lux to get estimated ppfd. read posts above and below mine for full reasoning based on some experiments Migro...

    Extreme weather help. Temp control

I wonder if the opposite logic could be used during summer. put the plants directly on the cement floor which regardless of air temps should stay right around 68. this could help keep root zone cooler to offset higher ambient temperature. no clue if it will work but seems like a cheap fix.

the Dr Meter ones are like $35 thats all I have but you can download a lux app for free off either app store. just do that for now until you can get the real meter.

Need to cool my tent down

however you figure it out, you want to be at @ 240-300w max in veg imo. too much light can be just as bad as not enough

Need to cool my tent down

maybe even go down to 30-40% max at first. dial it up to 50% after a week or so and see if they can take it. but you are just guessing until you get at least a basic lux reading. see what they are at now and dial it back to like 10-20k lux for now. 40-50k for flower, 60k max. you can get...

Need to cool my tent down

I would keep both in there and dim them both to 50%. I agree you want the spread. if you only use 1 light then you will have a giant hotspot down middle of tent and have to hang it higher to get a good spread.
