don't worry to much about the driver , no big difference if you don't consume tons of electricity .with a meanwell you will save only 20 watts or so for that 120w total ,the difference is the reliability of the driver(which is pretty important but not urgent if it's a new driver) ...

maybe you can put it on the dimming leads then when its off you get 100%(lead open) and when on you get you're dimming the way you set it (pot/resistor) im not sure its possible as it suppose to be a ac device . thanks edit;probably cannot be used on the 1-10v leads
