    Help with seedlings. First grow.

Mine stretched a bit more than I wanted at that level. If I did it again with the same strains, I would turn it up to maybe 30%. But always listen to the plants.

    Help with seedlings. First grow.

I am not a coco guy, but I agree with the folks saying it's a light and air issue. I had good luck with seedlings in soil with my TSW2000 (MarsHydro 300W) at 24" and about 25%. And circulating air in those cups will replenish CO2, discourage pests and problems, and strenghten the stem. If I...

What's going on with this plant?

I've never seen any kind of plant look like that before. Bizarre.

How reliable are Lux meter apps on smartphones?

I don't know if I have a good approach, but I am not using these apps to get good readings. I'm looking for relative readings. If I calibrate my app/phone to detect PPFD at what product reviews and/or the manufacturer rates the output, then I can get relative measurements at different heights...

    Enter the Mind of JimmyJack

Still waiting on the gypsum. Local store only had granules. Should arrive early next week. Pic as promised: Whoops, looks like I left my little blurple on in back. Oh yeah, never mentioned that I kept the 100W blurple going to help with coverage under that little TSW2000.

So turns out powdered agricultural gypsum is water soluble and makes sulfur readily available to plants. Easy peasy win win.

The last one in the fabric pot is struggling. I pulled it out of the tent and watered the crap out of it. Put in almost a gallon and maybe 10 oz. came out the bottom. I'll run with that and see how it goes. It's a small enough plant that it was kinda like a mini soil flush (the nitrogen is...

    Lights good for veg?

HID lights are awesome (MH, HPS). They have okay penetration and cost little up front. You have to replace bulbs every year or two, but those are pretty cheap. They cost more to run, which may or may not be a big deal depending on local electric rates. The biggest problem is the heat generated...

    Whats that on my leafs?

My leaves did the same thing. I turned down the light and it kinda helped. So I raised the light. That fixed it (but it took a couple days to effect). I even turned the light back up after raising it. I was using the TSW2000 (really only 300W).

    Mizzle or femizzle?

Sad days. Unless you want seeds!

Thought I'd pop in and drop some photos. Veg tent is doing great. Super cropped the big clone to break apical dominance into symmetry. Bent over the tall lanky one. Repotted the last one into an extra fabric pot. The tiny monster crop never rooted, but the other is growing new leaves (and looks...

    Leaves burnt yellow color

I bet you have too much calcium which is locking out multiple other nutrients. Lay off the calmag for a feeding or two and watch new growth for issues.

    First Grow, About 3.5 lbs

You guys, keep the thread going. Truly explore the value of arguing with strangers on the internet over unverifiable claims. I believe because I want to believe it's possible. I don't believe because I wasn't there. But that's the power of stories. If I told you what my one plant has gone...

Grow directly in fresh sun baked cow poop.

They did! It's an app called Common Sense and Cross Referencing. CSCR, for short (like "scissor"). You know, CSCR, it cuts through the bullshit. It has like five downloads.

Yesterday I topped all plants (except one I intend lay down and tie) and the tiny clones. The big clone I topped both colas that came from the first top. It's growing asymmetrically, but I'll train it to be even. The flowering is coming along. I've been watering her about every two days at 77dF...

    Ballast problem.

I've had trouble with the fans going out on those. If that's all it is, it's a cheap, easy fix.

This is the Miracle Grow stuff. I put maybe 1/8 tsp. on each, really.

Light got set to 60% yesterday. I put a 1/2 tsp. of Jobe's in each pot. I also put some 12-4-8 MG organic fertilizer (maybe 1/4 tsp.). The MG had some time-release urea nitrogen, but I'm not worried since it is so little and I'm just hitting veg. But it had kelp, EWC, sulfur--everything but...

    Overwattering

Depends on your situation. If you're using soil, you will water an adult plant to 10% runoff when the soil is mostly dry. So when you do water, it will be a lot--but you won't very often.

    Should i be comcerned?

Sorry you feel that way. Like much of the internet, you gotta wade through the muck to get to the good stuff.
