    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

@SupraSPL , I am very happy with my build and I apologize if I came off upset in anyway. I was kinda just saying that for other people who might be thinking of doing the same thing but for permanent installations. As you know I sanded my heatsinks to a 1000 grit also and even went a step further...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Like Kuifje said already I run one 3000k 3070 @1050mA per square foot and think that 1.4a might be overkill, also you can probably get away with 700mA for veg. So IMO six LPC-60-1050 and two LPC-35-700 would be perfect for that space. You can see pics of my setup in my thread here. Instead of 6...

    LED Companies w/ LINKS

The case on this also made me laugh, did you all notice there is a 360/450/600 all running the same amount of vero's. How efficient are they when driven at 100watts each? There is also a 2 vero version at 120W for $330usd. Metal Case = $18 (large version $28) Vero29 = $31 each so $62...

I only have a piece of crap multimeter and was hoping that it wouldn't work with the sensor so I had a reason to purchase a new meter, it seems to work just fine. I was thinking about the Fluke 115 or 117 but am interested in what your recommendations are goud Also I can't find a price for the...

In a commercial panel you wouldn't separate the fans and drivers from the total wattage, I feel they should be included. I dont have a kill-a-watt anymore but I would even include my 5v PWM circuit to control the 4-wire fans as it is all part of the lighting system.

There are some beautiful looking cups this round, competition is looking quite stiff. Though I don't think I'm going to have much of a chance here, my day time temps only get as high as 68 and my night temps are in the high 50's. Its really making the colour show, she is still putting on weight...

20 is not that much to order. 2 or 3 of you should team up and get yourselves a few each. Or just 1 person buy them and sell your extras. They will move like hot cakes. Once I had 2 I wanted and bought 8 more very quickly. After seeing how happy these girls were, it was a no-brainer.

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

@kkman did you think about getting a dimmable driver for your flower section? I run 1 3070 per/sf @1050mA peak for weeks 4-7 but most weeks its dimmed to 700mA. Being able to boost it up when needed is a nice feature, also to dim down while your in your garden to protect your vision is...

diy par meter.... I just bought a quantum sensor (sq-120) and use it with a multimeter. I wonder how the diy compares, I might try and build one as it seem easy enough. I'm wondering what the range of the sensor is, the apogee website leads you to believe the sq-120 reads from 400nm-700nm when...

DIY LED Grow Light Vero 18 (Economy light)

Ya, Thats kinda why I went with my heatsinks. They can definitely handle the heat a lot better than a pc heatsink incase of fan failure and with the overkill fans I'm running they run supercool. I did plan on adding more COBs down the road but for the space they are in right now I don't think...

DIY LED Grow Light Vero 18 (Economy light)

I recently had to open a a51 panel and inside I noticed that there are 4 drivers. Two of the drivers run the red and two run the whites. All 4 drivers also seem to have dual output with a 12v line for the fans. Each fan is split and hooked up to one red and one white driver so that both fans are...
