Help choosing an LED replacement for 1000HPS?

Corrosion? I live in a harsh, humid, and salty environment. Heatsinks are fine.. And cobs have paid themselves over many times... Can't fool someone who's been there and done that. People just need to realize that grow lights are easy to make now. Or, continue to pay top dollar for lights...

So sounds like what i was thinking...put something over the phosphor and it'll raise the Tc.. Is that TIM all over the cob? If it is..whatever it is..its good to have iso...

    Another Cree CXA3070 DIY Thread

Congrats on the grow! A lot of people knew these were capable of big numbers.. Nice to see it done Heard a bird chirping that 1gw isn't impressive. Well it is when it's darn near the average..:hump: 2 g/w next? I think the only thing holding that back is a good hydro grow tapping into...

    Blondes LED COBS?

Figured there would be a lot of multichip lights converted to cobs...bound to happen Everyones following the riu recipe...:P. I guess they aren't afraid of the high voltage drivers? Someone could get a zinger without the right protections in place. Just my assumption though.. I would guess...

Looks pretty cool and steady. Be a interesting test to put a sensor near the phosphor and put a glass reflector on. Still curious about that one.. Finally have a computer on the way so I can play with some of the programs I've been missing out on... Dell is going in the trash can..

Lol... Not really.. It does help to get a nice swell and strong flowering. Biothrive needs a bloom booster I think.. Expensive.. But a small amount of it makes a 3 part nute system look like a advanced program..haha A good grower friend didn't notice anything using it.... Who knows...I like...

I'm actually about to build a veg light for someone thats highly successful and happy with his t5s. After seeing my veg setup hes interested. Pretty sure I can cut his power in half, run cooler, and be a sexy beast of a light. Not to mention no bulb changes...like ever..at the current it will...

Thanks for the kind words bro.. 660nm...not necessary..I think uv is more necessary. But, I've done enough experiments of my own to prefer them in the mix...all the time. Even in veg...just prefer the growth I see. Think anyone whos run just white would be surprised what a good dose of 660nm...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Someone posted earlier, could just run them at 1a and have a larger power range at peak efficiency. But, if you know what the max power you want to run is than I don't think its a bad idea to run at .700ma. 72w is a bit much to run from one emitter unless you'll have room to run the light high...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

The driver data sheet has the info.. I'm not really familiar with every driver, I just looked quickly. Should let supra give out the driver info..lol. The initial spec i saw showed the voltage on the hlg 120 .700ma only enough for two 72v 3590s...upon review of datasheet it can run 3. Might...
